Saturday, June 26th Destiny's 26th Birthday Party
"I can't give him no more chances, chances, so I'd rather walk away..."
"Happy birthday Destiny," Diamant yelled over the loud music that was playing through the event space.
"Thanks babe," Destiny tightly wrapped her arms around Diamant's neck, almost choking her out. "Twenty-six on the fucking twenty-sixth bitchhh!"
"Okay. Damn bitch," Dia gasped as she pried the girl's arms away from her. Even though they were about an hour and a half late, Destiny was clearly already drunk.
"Girl, you want some water or something?" Diamant offered her.
"No," Destiny shook her head. "I'm good."
"You sure?"
"I'm fine. I see you brought a date though," she turned her attention towards Aurora now.
"It's nice to see you again Destiny," Aurora held her hand out, but the girl pulled her into a hug instead.
"Yeahhh," Destiny had a mischievous smirk on her face when she pulled away from the hug. "It's nice to see you again too... Aurora."
Aurora awkwardly looked at Diamant, hoping for an explanation as to why Destiny was acting all weird compared to the other few times she's met her.
"I don't know," Diamant just shrugged. She didn't know what Destiny was on, she was just hoping she'd keep it together enough to not out her to anyone at this party.
"Come, let's go get some drinks," Destiny grabbed one of each of their hands and brought them over towards the bar that Dex was leaning against. He was drinking a beer, and talking to a group of guys Diamant only knows casually.
"Wassup Dia," he pulled her into a tight hug like he didn't just see her the previous day. "And it's nice to see you again Aurora," he pulled her into a little side hug too.
"Where's a hug for the birthday girl?" Destiny stuck her bottom lip out when she realized she wasn't getting any of Dex's attention.
"We gone be doing a lot more than just hugging later on—"
"Okayyy. Yeah, we're not doing that," Diamant took Aurora by the hand and pulled her away from the bar and towards the source of the music blasting through the venue.
Diamant was having a lot more fun at this party than she thought she would, and a part of her thinks it's because Aurora was there. She can't explain it with words, but she just feels so free around her. Everything is so much easier when she's around her.
