Chapter 25

Nick....

"What are you doing here Karen" my dad asked with hatred laced in his voice "I'm here to make sure my child is ok" I scoffed "Make sure I'm ok... bi--- woman please you weren't worried about me while you were pumping me with drugs" I said getting loud and sitting up she folded her arms "I did that to help your ungrateful ass trying to save you from her and the phase your going through" she pointed at Riya and that was when mama A spoke up "Wait a minute don't drag my child into this your daughter is eighteen older than my child I'm pretty sure she knows what she likes and don't like my baby had no influence on her life choices what so ever" my momma shot her an who asked you look and said.

"Cow was I talking to you" mama A set her clipboard down before taking a step closer to my mother and put her hands on her hips "Chick you better Thank God and his son that we in my place of business and I'm pregnant because if I wasn't this cow would kick your ass" my momma steps back and turns her head as to say yea right Aalea looked her up and down as to say thought so and backed back picking up her clip board "Nick baby I'm going to check on my other patients but I'll be back" I nodded and watched as she walked out.

My mother looked over to Riya "Dont you think you need to be leaving too we have family matters to discuss" I frowned "She ain't gotta go no where she is apart of my family" Riya touched my hand "Nah let me leave before I do or say something I'm go regret" I nodded knowing what she was talking about she reached down to Peck my cheek but I turned my head catching her lips and locking them with mines apart of me did it to bother my mother and the other part well let's just say I was feeling it. She pulled away with a chuckle and said "I love you" I smiled and pecked her lips once more "I love you too" she smiled wiped my lips gently and stood to leave.

I watched my mother carefully as she walked closer to me when she got to me she smiled down "How you feeling baby" I frowned and looked over at my dad "Does she have to be here can you make her leave" before my dad spoke my mother roughly grabbed my face making me look at her since my face was swollen and I had bruises already I whimpered in pain "Karen let her go don't you see your hurting her" my dad said my mother gripped harder and looked me dead in the eyes "You will start respecting me do you understand" I reached over and repeatedly pressed the red button as fast as I could.

"I said do you understand" the tears started to fall and the security busted in along with Mama A "Excuse me ma'am were going to have to escort you out the building" she let my face go like she was throwing it and looked at my dad and Aalea before the security followed her out. Soon as she left I let out the biggest sob "I hate her" my dad came and held me and as the night grew I still couldn't believe my own mother would do me like this. These were one of the moments that I just wanted to disappear.

The Next Day....

Riya....

When I woke up this morning I hopped in the shower and got myself ready to go visit Nick. After I got out the shower I got dressed in a multi color no sleeve belly top a tan maxi flowing skirt I slipped on my all white logo plaque Michael Kors sandals. After pulling my hair into a slick ponytail at the top of my head I put on my make up and jewelry after grabbing my phone and my blue jacket with gold designs on the arm I made my way downstairs I sent a quick text to Nick telling her I would be there shortly she sent back an ok when I got to the kitchen I seen my dad talking to Kourt "Hey daddy" he looked up and smiled at me.

"What's up baby girl where you going looking like a Hood chick" I laughed "I'm going up to the hospital to see Nick can I take the chevelle" he nodded "Yea go head I was go take yours to get a oil change and shit any ways" I nodded and went to grab the keys "Wait before you go I heard Karen tried you yesterday" I laughed Yea me and mama daddy she almost got the hands" he laughed "What I tell you about that" I laughed "Never fight with my fist always go for the kill cause if they still walking they can always come back for you" he nodded "Good girl gone head" I nodded and ran off. My daddy is something crazy but I love him.

When I got to the hospital I let valet park the car while I walked inside. "Can I get a pass to go to Nicole Perry room please" the woman nodded handed me guest pass wrote the room number on it and I was on my way. When I walked in she was watching some show they had on television "Hey buttercup how are you feeling today" I asked she looked over at me smiling "Better now that your here and they talking about sending me home today if I do good in therapy later" I nodded "You going back to your dad's" she nodded "No the court order says I have to go to Karen house" I held her hand.

"Well what if I told you, you never have to go there again" she looked at me with big eyes "How" I smiled well while your mother was doing all that talking yesterday I took it upon myself to record her" "So what you saying" I smiled "I'm saying I got her admitting to giving you drugs" she smiled "You serious" I nodded "Very" she pulled me to her "Chunky Butt you are the best man I don't know what I would do without you" I smiled "That's what I'm here for to help you out...I'm go always have your back" she smiled and pecked my lips.

I pulled back looking at her smiling but my smile faltered when I seen the finger prints on her face "Did Karen do that" she nodded "Yea after you left she say she tired of me disrespecting her" I grew angry "Maybe if she acted like a mother she would get the respect she deserves that woman is testing me Nick" she sighed "Calm down baby Thanks to you we won't have to deal with her anymore" I nodded I guess she was right Karen was about to be out our lives for good. For the rest of the day I chilled with Nick up at the hospital I even went and got us some McDonald's. The doctor eventually told her they were going to keep her one more day which was fine by me that way it wasn't such a big rush. By eight o'clock I had to leave I wanted to stay but I knew I couldn't I turned to Nick told her I loved her kissed her goodnight an made my way to my car so I could go home.
