Chapter 32

Four weeks later.....

Riya....

Its been four weeks and I was now in California I spent one week with my family and my last week with Nick we became close almost like old times. My mother had the baby it was a girl her name is Adira Jamiah Smith she is a chunky baby with a head of curls and my dad eyes. And as for school me and my roommate get along so far her name is Calais (Cal-Lay) Davison and she was the prettiest tomboy I had ever met and she was a sophomore so she was basically showing me the ropes. Anyways I had made some minor changes since I been here I had cut my hair into a short cute pixie cut and I had got my nose pierced that my room mate did no one knew about my hair cut besides my parents and Nick and the only reason Nick knew it was because we face time every night. I still keep in touch with my other friends and family besides Papa D and Victoria they don't speak to me or my family not after Demi went missing. "Aye Riya you ready" I looked to my door to see Lay standing there in some army fatigue pants and a black crop top with some Jordan's on I smiled and nodded "Yea let's go" we were on our way to a dorm party one of her friends was having I had on a black lace crop top and some black jeans with my Air Jordan 7 N7 they didn't come out til June but thanks to my dad and his connect he hooked me up.

We walked out the dorm and out side and made our way to the girls basketball dorms were some of the sophomore and juniors were. As we walked the yard people would look our way but what stopped us was Marcie who I learned was one of Lay jump offs "So y'all together now Calais" she looked at her side ways "Its not your business who I'm with gone somewhere" Marcie pouted "But I miss you Papi" I laughed and she mugged me "I don't know what you laughing at fresh meat" I smirked "I'm laughing because you sound desperate especially calling her papi last I checked she was a female but hey it's not my place to judge so do you baby girl" she rolled her eyes looking back at Lay who was now looking at me she licked her lips before looking back at Marcie and pulling her hair behind her ear "Look Marcie we ended a long time ago just be gone I'm not with her but if I was it's not your business aight" Marcie folded her arms as me and Lay walked away.

When we got to the other dorms we walked straight in and up to the second floor. Lay knocked on the door twice and waited her friend Kelly opened the door she smiled "Whats up Calais...hey Riya" I just waved as she eyed me Kelly was a sophomore as well here on a basketball scholarship she was a Carmel toned girl with dreads and I guess I didn't have to state the obvious she liked me. "Come on in everybody here" she opened the door wider and we walked in Calais greeted everyone "Whats up y'all...everybody remember Riya right" they all nodded and spoke "Go head have seat no none will bite I'll get us something to drink" Calais said so I sat down and bobbed my head to the music. "So Riya what you say you we're majoring in" Kelly sat next to me and asked I looked over at her "I'm majoring in social science I want to become a child and teen counselor" she nodded "That's what's up why did you choose that career path" I just shrugged I knew why I just wasn't telling her. I choose it to help kids like me who grew up with a hateful mother and have witnessed things they never should have in their young life. Kelly was about to speak again when Calais walked up and I couldn't be more thankful "You harassing my roommate Kelly" she shook her head "Nah man just talking" Calais tooted her lips as to say stop lying "Umm hmm move over" Calais set in between me and Kelly and handed me a water "Here I know you don't drink so" I smiled "Thanks" she nodded "Welcome".

As the night went bye and music played we danced laughed talked and just chilled out but now the night was winding down and I was ready to go. "Aye Lay I'm bout to head back alright" she got up "I'll walk with you" I looked around "You don't have to I know you wanna hang with your friends" she shrugged "Its cool I don't mind" "Ok" I said smiling. The walk back to the dorm was brisk but my mind drifted to Nick I don't know why but I needed to see her face I missed her hell I missed being home period "You alright over there" Calais asked breaking me out my thoughts I looked over at her "Yea I'm good just thinking" "About what if you don't mind me asking" I smiled "My best friend I miss her" I said lowly she chuckled "The way yo said it make her seem like she more than your best friend" I nodded "She was my first everything" she nodded "So did y'all date" "Yea we did" she made a sound like oh "What happened" I laughed "I caught her kissing another girl" "Damn" I nodded "Yup but she told me what really happened I forgave her and before I left we started to repair our friendship" she nodded "So I guess it's safe to say you still love her" I laughed "More like in love".

When we got back to the room I smiled "Thanks for walking me back" Calais waved me off "Its no problem I was kind of ready to go anyways" I laughed "Oh ok well still thanks I'll see you in the morning" she smiled and nodded and we went to our separate rooms. Soon as I got in my room I changed out my clothes and hooked up my phone to the charger before getting comfortable and facetiming Nick. She picked up on the second ring fully dressed on the couch looking crazy since it was 9pm here I knew it was 11pm in new York "Where you coming from" I asked she shrugged "No where I honestly just been sitting on the couch" I laughed "Why you look so crazy" she shrugged again "I didn't feel like doing my head today any who how was your day today" she sat up and got up I guess going to her room "My day was good I thought about you today". She smiled sitting on the bed "Oh really what about me" "I miss you buttercup" she took off her shirt revealing her sports bra she sat back on her bed "I miss you too chunky butt" I smiled "So I've been thinking" she licked her lips.

"What have you been thinking about baby" I don't know why but that gave me chills and almost had me dripping wet "I need you in my life Nick and if your willing to try I want to give our relationship a try" she smiled "Are you serious" I nodded "Yes I'm serious and long as you stay loyal to me" she smiled and nodded "Yes I got you baby... I will remain faithful loyal and true to you baby" I smiled "Good cause I'm tired of just being your best friend" "Yea me too all I keep thinking about is the night we spent together before you left" I giggled "It was something wasn't it" she licked her lips "Yea if I only I could repeat everything with you right now.... I just want to hold you kiss and love on you" I laughed "How about I fly home for the weekend seeing as you have your own place now" she smiled "That would be cool want me pick you up from the airport" I nodded "Yea". For the next two hours we just talked about us and what we would do if we we're with eachother right now our conversation got so heavy it almost turned into phone sex I had to end the conversation "Ok baby I'm going to sleep I love you buttercup" she smiled showing her dimples "I love you too baby" she blew me a kiss and I blew one back before hanging up.  I just hoped she remained faithful like she said she would.
