Chapter 17

Lea POV.....

"Jeremiah could you please leave me alone I swear I feel fine" I whined but he wasn't listening he currently trying to drag me to the hospital for some odd reason I just haven't been felling good at first we both were saying it was something I ate in Paris or the fact that I as barely eating before then but now he was insisting I go to the hospital since I still been throwing up and it was now coming close to February. "Aalea I don't care what you say you going to that hospital even if I have to carry you out of here" I sighed ad got up out the bed I rather go on my own free will than be dragged I threw on a pair of Jeremiah black bandana print joggers a red shirt black jacket my timbs and left my hair in the lose curls it was in. I walked down stairs to see the kids watching cartoons seeing as it was Saturday "Jr where is Riya" I asked he shrugged I decided to ask the girls they always know where she is "Kourt baby where's your sister" with out taking her eyes off the screen she said "In her studio with Nick" I said thanks and made my way to the basement it wasn't a studio quite just a quiet place to play her keyboard. I opened the door and walked in she was playing around with a couple of keys and Nick was just sitting back "Hey Ri me and your dad on our way to the hospital watch the kids til we get back" she nodded "No problem mama is everything ok" she asked I nodded "Yea baby I'm fine" she nodded and turned off the keyboard before following me upstairs. Jeremiah came down dressed and we left.

Instead of going to emergency I did a walk in at my primary care physician. We got there in about thirty minutes and had been waiting almost a hour I starting to get hungry "Jeremiah I'm hungry" he laughed "Why you ain't eat before we left" I sighed "I was scared I would've threw up in the car" he shook his head "We will pick up something when we leave" I nodded and was about to pick up a magazine until I heard my name called "Aalea Smith" we both stood up and walked to the back. "Good afternoon Mrs. Smith" I smiled "Hey Dr. Terry" she smiled and pulled out her supplies as I set on the small bed "So what can I do for you today" I sighed "I've been a little under the weather and my loving husband thought it would be a good idea to drag me here" "Excuse me doc by a little under the weather she means throwing up almost every day since dec" Jer cut in I mentally rolled my eyes "Besides that have you had any pain" she asked "Just a little not much" she nodded "Ok first I want you to urinate in a cup then we will draw blood and go from there it might just be a stomach virus or the flu" I nodded and got the cup going to the bathroom. After doing my business I waited in the room as she took my temperature drew my blood then left. She came back ten minutes later smiling "Well Aalea it seems I know the problem" "Ok what is it" I asked waiting for her to tell me what was going on "According to your HGC levels your approximately 20 weeks pregnant" "Woah wait how could that be I had a miscarriage in Oct" I was baffled "I guess it was twins it seems you have a little fighter" I sat back still surprised while Jer did all the talking I didn't really hear anything until she said she wanted to do an ultrasound "Ill be back I'm going to get the ultrasound machine under the circumstances I have to make sure everything is ok" she walked out and I looked at Jeremiah with tears in my eyes "What if something is wrong because I wasn't taking care of myself when I got out the hospital" he grabbed my hand "Did you hear her our baby survived after the trauma we got a fighter I'm sure everything is fine" I nodded and just prayed that was true.

Riya.....

"Maine why are you bothering Kiana" ever since my mama left them two have constantly been bothering each other "Riya she keep coming in the game room messing with me" I laughed "Both of y'all leave each other alone unless you wanna sit in the corner til mommy get back" they both said sorry and hugged it out I turned to Nick and laughed "Those two go be something else when they get older" she nodded and we went to the living room "Have you talked to your mom yet" I asked sitting down ever sine that night she told me about her mom trying to change her college choice she said she hasn't really talked to her she tries to avoid her "No I haven't and I really don't want to yesterday she told me she would do whatever to make sure I don't go there or lose my scholarship I'm afraid to be around her" I shook ny head it's crazy because Karen seemed so nice but to get her mind off of a conversation I brought up I suggested we watch a movie she agreed and we went to the front room I turned on the tv and picked a movie before the movie started I went to th kitchen to get juice chips cookies candy just minor snacks going back into the front room I sat down and sat the snacks on the table "What movie you choose" I asked getting comfortable "Guardians of the Galaxy just in case the twins join" I nodded and grabbed the cookies as she pressed play.

An hour later mom and dad were walking through the door the kids did join us but fell asleep during the movie "Hey mama how did the doctor visit go" I asked when she walked in the front room she smiled "It went good" I nodded and got up to carry Kourt up stairs while Nick got Kiana "When you finished come to my room for a second" she said I looked at her and bodded trying to read her face but incouldnt so I just walked off after laying Kourt in her bed and waiting for Nick I closed they door leaving it cracked "I'll be there in a second" she nodded and went to my room and I walked towards my mothers. When I walked in she was sitting in the middle of the bed with her legs crossed and her hair pulled up "So thats where I get it from" she laughed and patted the spot by her but it was true even though she wasn't my birth mother I realized I had picked up alot of her traits. Climbing in the bed I sat next to her but facing her and crossed my legs "Whats up mommy" she looked at me and smiled "I'm pregnant"I smiled and hugged her "Congrats" she nodded "Thats not all" I nodded "I'm five months" I looked at her confused "Wait so that means...." she nodded "Yea it was twins and one survived" I smiled "Wow thats amazing" she nodded "Yea your dad thinks so as well" "What about you mama are you happy" she smiled "I'm beyond happy just still shocked" I nodded in understanding "So do you know what your having" she smiled "I actually want it to be a surprise" I nodded and out of no where she began to cry so I did the only thing I could I held her how she holds me when I'm sad "I thought my baby was gone" she cried out "Ahhh Thank you Jesus" I smiled as she strted to give praise to God for saving her child my dad came in and smiled at me "Go aheah pumpkin i got her" I nodded and kissed my mom forehead before letting go and walking away.
