Chapter 6

I sat there looking at her face and saw he serious she was I turned and looked at Jer and he was just smiling away "I'm glad you felt comfortable enough to sit down and tell us baby girl but I already know and I don't love no less" Jeremiah said Riya smiled and looked at me "Mama say something" I smiled "As long as your happy I'm happy your sexuality doesn't define who you are you still my princess so" she came and hugged me then went to her daddy "Tell me something how did you know" he laughed "Well let's just put it like this I peep a few things and I notice everything just tell Nick to do you right" "What makes you think Nick wants me daddy" even I could tell Nick was in love with Mariya but it's not my place to say "Its all in her eyes baby" I tapped Riya she looked at me "Come with me" she followed me to the room I know the question I was going to ask was going to open old wounds but I needed to know. "What's up ma" I smiled and patted the bed next to me "Have a seat" she did "I'm going to ask you a question and I want you to be one hundred percent honest with me" she put up her pinky "No lies no secrets".

I smiled and locked my pinky with hers "Does this have to do with what you experienced if so don't let what I went through or what you seen discourage you from finding love in a man I'm not saying it's a phase or nothing I'm just saying if you ever find your self having feelings for one don't let what happened scare you or the feelings to be pushed aside I just want you to be able to love whole heartedly regardless of your past" she looked at me with watery eyes "It has nothing to do with that ever since I was eleven I found myself catching feelings for Nick even when she came out to me the way I saw her didn't change she was what I needed a friend but I loved her for not just walking away and calling me weird becuase I talk different but also for being there when I always needed someone to talk to....she...she as ny first kiss and at twelve I didn't think nothing of it but about two three weeks ago. realized hat it wad I felt and how I feel now I now know what that song you sing to daddy means" I saw so much of myself in her at this moment I just embraced her and rocked her "As long as your happy baby..." I kissed her forehead and smiled I couldn't be mad about the kiss it was four years ago ain't nothing I can do now but be happy my baby had her first kiss even if it was just a peck "So you that mean if Nick spend the night from now on she go to a guest room since yall kissing and what not" she laughed and wiped her face "We only friends don't worry" I gave her a funny look "Demi" was all she said and I understood even though she my little sister I couldn't stand her spoiled ass her attitude towards me and my children is ridiculous my dad says she's not use to sharing since Dj is a teen and basically a mommas boys she use to having him to her self and her and Riya been bumping heads since Nick chose to not stop talking to Riya. "One more thing" I said looking at Riya she looked up at me "Do you still have the nightmares" I examined her face and eyes as she spoke "Not since Nick" she smiled I nodded "Lets go eat" we walked back down stairs Jer was at the table with his plate and Riya made hers "Yours in the microwave love" I smiled at my husband and want to the microwave to get it.

"Are you really ok with this Lea because it doesn't seem like it" it was late and me and Jer were in bed cuddling I knew he was talking about Riya was I ok with it of course I just wanted to know why he ain't tell me "Of course I'm ok with it as long as my baby girl is happy I'm great but if you knew why you ain't tell me" he smiled down at me "Because one it's not business to tell and two I didn't know for sure for sure but I did know that Nick was in love with our baby girl we had a talk one night and I basically told her I could see it in her eyes and if she ever hurt Riya I was going to hurt her" I laughed and hit him "You did not threaten that little girl" he nodded "I did I don't play about mines but she understood where I was coming from and told she would never" I nodded and layed my head back on his chest. "Good night baby I love you" I spoke pulling him closer she ran his finger through my hair and pulled my face up to kiss me "I love you too".

The Next Day

It was Friday and I was go dress like it after showering and lotioning up I put on a white and navy blue stripped shirt with out sleeves my blue jean levis and a jean jacket I flat ironed my hair bone straight and was ready to go I didn't have to take the boys my dad took him and the girls and I didn't have to gt Nick because she been driving herself so all I had to do was get me some breakfast before school. I put on my white and navy blue Jordan 12's I grabbed my bag that already had my charger in it and I grabbed my keys "Mama I'm gone" "Kay love you" I said love you too and left out.
