Mariya...."Child if you don't keep still we go have a issue" My aunt scolded me as I wiggles in my seat
"I'm sorry auntie hold up I gotta pee" she smacked her lips as I got up out the chair for at least the third time
I had been waiting 3 and a half years for this day and now that it was here I was full of nerves. Today was they I would be marrying my high school sweetheart who is also the love of my life. My nerves wasn't the only reason I couldn't stop using the bathroom though. I was currently 3 months pregnant after doing two rounds of IVF we were finally expecting.
"You done" I looked at my auntie Shanti and nodded
"Good auntie Sasha on her way in to do your make up then you can get dressed" I sat back down and let my aunt finish my hair she only had to straighten one last section before doing my slick bun.
After 30 minutes my face was done and so was my hair I had to get dressed. Slipping off my robe I slid on my black thong and put black pasties over my nipples. My dress was made for me to go bra less but it was beautiful. There was nothing traditional about my wedding not only was my dress black and gold but I was marrying a woman. Ryan is the ring bearer and Adira is the flower girl. Slipping on my dress I sat on the chair as I slipped my shoes on.
"Knock knock I'm coming in" I smiled hearing her voice she admired me through the mirror
"You look beautiful" she patted her eyes and I stood up
"Mama don't cry" she chuckled as she embraced me
"I just can't believe my baby girl getting married God I'm old" we laughed as she pulled away and I admired her, her skin glowed and even though she was 42 you couldn't tell she still looked as if she was 25
"Can you zip me" I turned so she could zip me
"I can't believe it's happening either I'm finally getting my happily ever after" she grabbed my hand and lead me to the hallway
"Believe it baby because there it is" I followed her head nod and we locked eyes as my mom walked away
"You ready baby girl" my dad walked up and I looked over at him and nodded the music started as Adira walked down the aisle
The only reason God gave me eyes was to see you
The only reason God gave me ears was to hear your voice
Say, I will all, I will always love you
And when the wind gets cold
I'll wrap my arms around youIt was time for me to start walking and I couldn't fight the butterflies if I tried. Her eyes watched me as I made my way near. I listened to every word in this song and I knew I was making the right decision.
We shared our dreams, endeavors and many things
We never could tell a soul before
I saw you smile through the tears that fell to the floor
I'm sure I knew
The only reason God gave me hands was to hold you
And he finely tuned the drums in my ears just to hear your voice
Say, I will all
I will always love you
And when the wind gets cold
I'll build a fire to warm your hands
I'll wrap my arms around you
