Chapter 8: Anko

After work, I went downtown to buy some groceries. As I walked past the bookstore a book caught my attention. 'What To Expect When You Are Expecting' I read the title, took a deep breath, and walked away. I closed my eyes, I am not ready, I thought. I kept walking then suddenly,  I felt someone bumped into me with enough force that made me think it was not an accident. I opened my eyes and looked backed.

"Sorry," I apologized, then I saw who it was. Anko and Hana Inuzuka, Gamma's girlfriend.

"Sorry Izumi," Hana said pulling Anko with her.

"No, wait" Anko jerked her hand away, "you are the person I wanted to see."

"How can I help you?" I asked her in a bitchy tone.

"You are a bitch" she started to point at me as she yelled, Hana's face turned red in embarrassment. "You disappeared for two yeas and come back like nothing happened, and now look at you now. You are freaking pregnant."I looked at her as she was ranting about how Kakashi dumped. I got annoyed when I realized how many people started to stare at us. "You said they were like brothers to you. You probably fucked them all," she continued.

"Anko, stop," Hana tried to pull her away.

"Don't be stupid Hana, how do you know that child is not Genma's? she probably fucked him too," Anko shouted.

I started to think of all the ways I could kill this bitch. I could snap her pretty neck, or even gouged her eyes out. Maybe set her on fire, I smirked. No, not in public. I could break both her arms, though. Or her legs. Nah it wasn't worth it. I took a deep breath and walked away. I took one step when I was pulled back to face her, "I am not done you bitch," she said almost to my face.

I automatically went in fighting mode, "don't you fucking touch me," I growled at her. I lifted my hand, already releasing steam. She took a step back and there was fear in her eyes, like if she had just seen the devil. Good, I thought, a grin grew wide on my face. I was ready to scar her for life. When someone jumped in between us. Kakashi grabbed my hand, but let it go immediately, the steam burned him. I looked at him upset and immediately neutralize my jutsu.

"Izumi, your eyes," he whispered holding his hand.

I had activated my Sharingan instinctively. I looked at everyone around and I could sense how fearful they all were. I blinked, deactivating my eyes and walked away pissed off.

"Don't you ever get near her, again," I could hear Kakashi said before he caught up to me.

I took a deep breath and caught a glimpse of Kakashi's burned hand. I grabbed his wrist and dragged him into my apartment. "Sit down," I said harshly as I went to look for my first aid kit.

"Are you mad at me?" he asked surprised, "I should be the one pissed off right now."

"That was very stupid of you, jumping in like that," I told him as I held his hand.

"I'm sorry I didn't know you were planning on melting her face," he said as he frown in pain. "You could have killed her you know.... downtown... with everyone watching."

"Well, she shouldn't have been trash-talking... in the middle of town... with everyone watching." I told him in the same tone, as I treated his burn.

"Izumi, you are the last of the Uchiha in the village," he held my hands tight, "ever since you took your name back, people... don't really trust you."

"Don't you think I know that," I said looking into his visible eye. "I can sense their suspicion... their fear."

"This," he said showing me his burned hand, "I did for you, not her. I don't want the village to see you as threat."
