The Black Leaf (Part 2)

Chapter 15: Sasuke

I went full speed for ahead for what it seemed like like two hours, and I found the river that goes to the village. The bridge was damaged and automatically felt a knot in my stomach. I hurried and saw Kakashi kneeling, he was hurt. Naruto and Sasuke were there, they seem to be having a conversation. Tobi and the Zetsu were there too. How the hell is Zetsu still alive? I wondered as I jumped in the river and landed in between all of them. I looked to back to see Kakashi and his eyes were telling me to run. I ignore them and turn back to face Sasuke.

"Sasuke, you've grown," I said walking towards him with a weak smile.

His face expression immediately changed. "Izumi, I didn't know," he said and I saw his eyes getting glossy, "I swear, I didn't."

I walked towards him and pulled him into a tight hug. I was surprised to see that he actually hugged me back. "Nobody knew, he hid it well," I whispered. "Even I didn't," Sasuke pulled away and took a few steps back. 

"Did you kill him?" I asked him referring to Danzo. "Did you make him pay for everything he did to Itachi?"

"He is dead," Sasuke replied looking at the hole in the middle of the bridge. I looked up and chuckled as wave of relief traveled through my body.

"Join us Izumi," Tobi said, extending his hand to me. "In this new world I am creating you can be happy, you can be with him." He looked at Kakashi, "you can be the man you truly love." I stared at his hand for a while, I wanted to take it, I truly did, I wanted to finally be happy. But it wasn't going to be real it was just going to be dream.

"Izumi, don't," I heard Kakashi voice with a begging tone. I looked at Sasuke and his eyes told me everything I needed to know. I gave him a weak smile in return, then I look at Tobi.

"I could never join you, Tobi," I said and felt a tear run down my face. "As tempting as it might be, there is no future with the man I love, he is death. My future is here..." I said touching my stomach.

He put his hand down, "you know Kakashi, out of all the people in the Akatsuki. I enjoyed working with your wife the most. She is one of kind, powerful, merciless, a coldblooded killer." He said looking at Kakashi, then looked at me. "Well, Izumi, if you changed your mind you or you get bored of him remember I'm just three doors down."

"You married him?" Sasuke in a disgusted tone.

"I did," I replied looking straight into his eyes.

"I haven't even buried my brother and you already found his replacement," he said in a cold tone.

"Don't fucking go there," his comment shook me to my core. "Please, Sasuke, don't you dare go there. You have no idea how much I love your brother," I said with tears.

He saw the pain in my face and automatically regretted his comment. "You're not alone, Izumi, I'll will come find you soon," he said in low voice, "let's go."

"Sasuke, take his head protector off and brushed his hair before you...." my voice was shaking and more tears left my eyes, "before you buried him." He nodded and they all left. I stood there staring at the wall after they disappeared.

"Izumi, are you okay?" Naruto asked, I turned and looked at his concerned face.

"Thank you for caring so much about him," I said hugging the boy. "We are going to get him back Naruto, Sasuke will come home soon."

We walked towards the village in silent. I had ditched my coat back in the Inn and forgot how bloody my clothes a had gotten. It wasn't until most of the villager's eyes were on me that I notice.

"Damm Yam's? going on a rampage again?" Hikku eyed me up and down as we passed one of the work sites. "How many did you dispatched this time?"

"Four." I said with a blank expression as I walked past him.
