The return of Aku. { Samurai Jack Fanfiction }

Chapter V: Realization.

A few hours went by that same day, and Haru had slowly woken up in a unfamiliar room, as her face flinches a bit because of the pain it caused her to remember that she had fainted earlier.

But before having the time to recollect her thoughts, someone knocks at the door, " C..Come in" She said while looking at the door, as Jack enters the room with a worried expression, " You are awake..do you need anything?" Asked he before getting closer.

" No no im..im fine, but where am i Jack?" Asked she a little confused, " In the palace..a physician took care of you while you where sleeping" Replied He, As Haru replied with a little sight leaving an uncomfortable silence taking place.

" Was it..Was it real? What we saw..?" Asked she before lifting her gaze to Jack, As he avoided to answer by turning his eyes, afraid the response would make her faint again.

" I can't believe it.." Said she at the edge of Tears, as Jack slowly sat by her side offering his Hand, that she ended up not taking, " I understand how you feel.." Said he, in an attempt to make her feel better.

" I don't..know how i feel " Said she, before erasing the tears that where escaping her eyes, " I understand that feeling too.." replied Jack, As she took a deep breath, she managed to burry the urge to cry deep within her heart, trying her best to find a rational explanation to all of this.

" Perhaps i shouldn't be here just yet.. I'll leave you to rest more " Said Jack before standing up, as Haru immediately reached her hand to hold him by the sleeve of his GÎ, " Jack please..whatever you have to say, Please say it.." Said she, As she looked at his right in the eyes with a mix of sadness and despair.

He couldn't Handle to see her this way, not could he handle to hear beg, so after taking a deep breath, he decided to sit back down, " So you... Remember when you told me that your father owned a lot of books about mythical creature?" asked the Samurai.

" I do..what about it ?" Asked she, " Well..while doing some research i found this" Said the samurai before taking out of his Gî a file of documents, slowly Handing it towards Haru.

She felt hesitant a moment about Taking it, but she eventually did and after taking a look at them she gasped at the obscene things that where written on it, Information's about Aku and his capabilities, ways to perform occult ceremonies, and many other strange texts, " Wait..d-do you mean that.." Whispered Haru in stupefaction, " I think..your parents are a part of a group that is trying to bring Aku Back.." Replied Jack,"And i..was going to be the offering.." Replied she, As the Samurai simply nodded as a response.

" Do you need some time..?, It is way too much information to take in and i understand if-" Said Jaci before getting cut, " No.. Thank you for telling me" Said Haru, while holding back her Tears, while Samurai didn't know what to respond to this.

" We..have to stop them" Said she, " No, I will stop him" Replied Jack, " What?! You cant do that alone!" Replied she, while noticed that the samurai had stood up, " Yes i can, I've already beaten him once, and if he ever comes back I'll be ready, but it way too dangerous for you to come with me" Replied Jack.

Haru stood silent a moment, noticing she had already heard these same words over a'd over again, and needless to say she was sick of hearing that the world was a dangerous place for her, " Dont expect me to stay here while you are risking your life! I am coming with you!" Shouted Haru, determined.

" Absolutely not!" Replied Jack back, " Why not?!" Asked she, " Because i can't risk to loose you too!!" Shouted the samurai before hiding his louth with his hand, realizing what he just had said.

Haru stood speechless for a moment, " Did you..loose someone Jack?" Replied she woth a shocked expression upon her face, " I...It doesn't matter, you are staying here, I shall be on my way by tonight, the guard's will keep an eye on you until i return" Replied Jack, before stepping out of the room.

Haru sat down thinking of what the samurai had just said to her, She wanted to cry so badly, but couldn't handle the idea of him leaving on his own, She was certain of something, she was going with him no matter what it takes.
