The return of Aku. { Samurai Jack Fanfiction }

Chapter XII: Opening up.

Jack was crying silently, as Haru pressed his head agains't her shoulder, holding him in her warm and welcoming arms, he was sill a bit rigit at first but eventually held onto her back still crying, he didn't feel ashamed or reluctant anymore, in this very moment the only thing he was feeling was peace, and utter relief, his Heart felt like a feather in his chest, as Haru was quietly caressing the Back off the samurai's head, his breathing finally calmed and so did he,After another moment on silence, Haru leaned on foward to look at the samurai, " How are you feeling?" Asked she in a soft tone, " I'm...better" Replied the samurai whispering.

Jack stood still for a moment, before finally started to speak again," Do you remember.. when i told you i went into the future?" Asked Jack, Haru simply nodded her head as a response, " I lived through coutless adventures..but Besides all of that i met someone there, her name was Ashi..She was Aku's daughter and well..i..we" Replied Jack trying to reach fot his words, " You loved her Jack.." replied Haru.

" Yes..But when the time came and Aku was defeated, i had asked her hand in marriage..but the day of the wedding she just..S-she just Vanished in my arm's" Sais Jack with a trembling tone, Haru looked at him with a sorrowful expression, " I'm so soory Jack..it must have been so painful.." Replied She.

" It was..and still is to this day.." Replied the Samurai, " I know..but dont you think that in a way this is the outcome she would have preferred? To dissapear rather than to risk everything you have worked for so hard..Rather than risk putting you in harm again?" Asked Haru, "..I think she would have..yes, but still..i still think that deep down, i should have been able to think this through, to prevent this from happening..i can't stop thinking that i had to do something at last.." replied the samurai.

"But you couldn't have..there was nothing to be done it was impossible Jack..You blamed yourself for so many years for something that you didn't control over..but at long last, you and her saved our world, you brough everything that was once lost back!, and maybe her deepest wish was to save you too Jack" Said Haru in a warm tone.

Jack opened his mouth to speak, but this words died before she could have a chance to speak them, and decided to stay silent, " It's okay to need time Jack" Said Haru, " But.." whisperd Jack as he lifted his gaze to look at her, " No buts, you need to rest, and so do i if am being completly honest" replied Haru before yawning a little.

Jack was hesitant, and with a sigh he spoke, " Thank you..for listening" Said the Samurai, " You are most welcome Jack" replied Haru with a delightful smile.

As the night went on, Haru had fallen asleep on the grass near the dying fire, but intead on looking at the stars, Jack was looking at her, it was the first time he ever saw her this tranquil, and admited to himself that he founf a lot of beauty into this peacefulness, as he had let go of a small hopeful smile, " Is what she would have wanted..." he whisperd to himself, before finally falling asleep as well.
