Alright, before we start with the story, I apologize in advance for any mistakes that I've made while writing this, but English is not my native language. So, that should also point out that I'm learning the advanced level of English throughout writing my stories and reading books as well as other stories on wattpad. I usually never leave author's notes in my stories, but I just felt the need to do it in this one. I promise, the story gets better as my writing progresses, feel free to leave bunch of comments as you read and enjoy the story <3

Ever since she was a little kid, Y/n sucked at many things, she was known as the clumsy one everywhere she went. But she still tried, she gave her all to actually become good at something. She turned her ineptitude into her own strength, and later on became recognisable by that in a positive manner.
Today she finally got to play a game in which winning would mean one step closer to attending the national volleyball tournament.
„Y/n are you ready to go?”
An ear-piercing voice went through the walls, and as the sound of it entered her room, she finished tying her hair into a ponytail, opening the door afterward.
„I've never been more prepared.”
The woman now standing right in front of her twisted her lips into a satisfied smirk, as she turned to the doors direction, promptly walking that way as she spoke.
„If you come back as a loser-”
„Stop right there. We both know I won't lose.”
„I'm betting 2000 yen that you'll lose.”
Y/n smirked confidently at her words, responding to the woman momentarily.
„I bet 4000 yen that we'll win.”
„I see you're as risky as ever.”
She didn't waste any more time standing there, going outside in a few bouncy steps.
Today I will win. I will enter the national volleyball tournament and win there as well. I'll keep working on improving myself, defeating my clumsiness no matter how difficult it might be.
She thought as she clenched her fists, feeling thrilled for the upcoming match. If her team doesn't win against two different schools today, she won't be able to enter the tournament she's been waiting for ever since she first started playing volleyball.

As her aunt parked on the school parking lot, she spoke one last time before Y/n finally left to meet up with her team.
„Do your best, make both me and your mother proud, as well as yourself.”
„Sure thing, therapist.”
The woman smiled at her words one more time, as she watched the energetic girl opening the door and leaving the car, closing the door before she even blinked one more time.
As (h/c) haired girl approached her team that was already waiting in front of the school entrance, she realized that once again she was the only one being late.
Oh crap, not again.
„Oh look who it is, mrs always late.”
