Bending forward and positioning their legs properly, Kuroo and Y/n glanced into each others' eyes momentarily, their facial expressions remained neutral.

„Now!” Kuroo exclaimed, as they both commenced sprinting down the sidewalk.

Bypassing many confounded people, who kept staring at them as they ran the fastest they could, Kuroo and Y/n stopped running after approximately six minutes, reaching their final destination.

„Took you long enough,” Kenma uttered, his eyes fixated onto the game console he held tightly in his hands.

„Says you,” Y/n added, catching breath.

„How long did it actually take though?” Kuroo asked, glancing at the blonde boy as he also attempted stabilising his breathing.

Glimpsing at his phone screen, Kenma mumbled „It took you five minutes and 37 seconds.” as he continued playing the game.

„That's not bad actually. But we can still do better, right Kuroo?” Y/n questioned, her eyes meeting Kuroo's again.

„You're insane Chibi-chan. Many people can't even accomplish this in ten minutes, and all you have to say about our score is it's not bad actually?” his eyebrows furrowed, as he stared at the girl.

„I mean, I know that I can do better. At least I used to be able...”

„Listen, Chibi-chan...you've skipped many practices up till now and-”

„Are you saying that I've gotten this bad at running just because I skipped practice six times?” she interrupted, staring at Kuroo's face in a frightening way.

„No, I was trying to say that even though you've skipped practice six times, you're much better at this than you should've been.” he added, offering her a genuine smile.

Her lower lip quivered, throat ached, while she fought her urge to cry yet again.

„Are you okay, Y/n?” Kenma asked, his eyes glued to her face, his game still ongoing.

„I...I'm fine. Let's just keep practicing, Kuroo.”

„No.” his arms folded against his chest again, as he turned his head in the opossite direction.

„Huh? But why?”

„I won't listen to you until you stop calling me Kuroo. Just for today.”

„Huuuh?!” she shouted, staring at the taller boy.

„What the hell do you want me to adress you with then?” standing still in one place, she continued staring at the boy, awaiting his answer.

„My first name,” he said, snowflake landing onto his left cheek and melting abruptly.

„The snow is falling again...guess we can't practice outside anymore today,” turning towards the nearby doors, she walked up to them, opening them and entering the house promptly.

Kuroo's and Kenma's eyes met, both of them feeling the tension Y/n had radiated with.

„She'll call you that way soon, don't look so sad, it's making me sick,” Kenma mumbled, standing up from the bench in Y/n's front yard.

„Since when are you even attempting cheering people up, Kenma?” he gawked at the boy, as he turned his game off, walking towards the door.

„I'm not doing that...”
