The wind blew fairly briskly, embracing the streets of Tokyo as a woman paced on the sidewalk, her hips swaying obtrusively as she headed towards the house painted in light green, knocking on the door thunderously.
A tall man opened the door, his gaze immediately meeting hers as he kept his usual stoic expression, contrasting the smirk spreading widely on her face upon seeing him.
„Hello, brother,” the woman said cockily, her lips twisting further to the left.
„What news are you bringing this time?”
„Straight to the point as usual, you're way too boring brother,” she whined, her gaze stubbornly glued to his.
„I don't care, just tell me what you know and go away.”
„Fine,” she sighed, „but let me in first, it's way too cold outside.”
The man rolled his eyes, slightly moving to the side as to let the woman pass next to him, and once they were both comfortably seated on the couch, she began speaking.
„I'm afraid your plan didn't really work out,” she said, and he raised an eyebrow.
„How come?”
„Well, they're still here, you know, the girl and her dad.”
„I thought I scared her enough the last time I saw her-”
„Well obviously, you didn't.”
His eyes left hers, elbows resting on his thighs, his chin clenched against his palms.
„So I'm assuming we either have to go with the plan B or plan C?” he muttered.
„We?” she scoffed, „Don't make me laugh. I'm not participating in this madness any longer than I already have, I've had en-”
Before the woman could finish her sentence, he had already pulled her collar aggressively, glaring directly into her eyes.
„There's only one way I'll let you get out of all this. I'm assuming you already know what way I have in mind?”
She tentatively nodded, already shuddering under his grip.
„Good. Now tell me everything you know about their whereabouts for the next few days.”

„Y/n-senpai are you okay?” Saiko asked, taking her position near the breathless girl whose palms grasped the thighs apprehensively.
„Yeah,” she breathed, „I'm fine.”
„You don't look fine to me,” she added worriedly.
It was already the second day of the nationals, and once again the Nekoma team ended up having to go through three sets, losing the first one and winning the second.
Y/n's gaze shifted to her left leg, and then her right, her jaw clenching at the niggling pain spreading through her muscles.
Her eyes subtly met Saiko's again, as she inhaled deeply, straightening herself as to appear completely composed and confident.
„I told you I'm fine. Now focus on the match.”
It was already 19-16 in Nekoma team's favour; however, the lingering pain in Y/n's legs clearly signalled her that she wouldn't be able to keep going for too long.
