Shortly after Yuki left the café, Kuroo also left it, but in contrast to the frustration that the girl had displayed before leaving, Kuroo seemed rather nonchalant, almost pleased, as he walked out of the café.

At that exact moment, the waitress brought Kenma's and Y/n's drinks to their table, and Y/n immediately asked for the check, paying for the drinks.

Both of them tried to finish drinking what they had ordered as fast as they could, leaving the café in search for Kuroo.

However, when Kenma's phone rang, both he and Y/n stared at the screen for a moment, surprised.

„Answer it!” Y/n uttered, feeling a surge of curiosity taking over her.

Kenma quickly answered the call, putting it on speaker, while he and Y/n slowly paced forward on the sidewalk.

„Hello?” Kenma said, glancing at the overly exhilarated girl beside him.

„Oi, where are you idiots?”

Both Kenma and Y/n stopped walking simultaneously, glancing at each other, and then they slowly kept pacing forward.

„We left for a walk,” Kenma said, trying his best to sound honest.

„Why is Chibi-chan going for a walk with her condition? Don't you remember that she could start feeling pain out of nowhere and even fall again?”

„I know, but she was really stubborn about it, so I had to take her out for a walk,” he explained, feeling the girl's glare on his face.

„You idiots are talking about me like I'm a dog!” she added, and Kuroo immediately burst into his hyenic laughter.

„Oh so I'm on the speaker then,” he added once he had finished laughing.

„Yeah, but where are you now?” Y/n asked, eyebrows furrowed as she seemed to be hearing a car passing by as Kuroo went silent after her question.

„I just left Kenma's place again,” he said, and this time a car passed by them.

„Sure,” Y/n mumbled, and then she stopped walking, turning around just to see Kuroo walking on that same sidewalk, approximately ten metres away from them.

She then clutched on to Kenma's left sleeve, and he stopped walking, turning around as well.

„So, how did the date go?” Y/n questioned as the three of them were sitting at the bench in a nearby park, coldness of the air numbing their cheeks as the cool breeze continuously whipped away the white plumes of their breaths.

„Stop acting like you guys didn't see everything anyway,” Kuroo said and the two immediately exchanged gazes, going silent for a moment until they pointed their eyes towards the dark haired boy again.

„You knew?!” Y/n uttered, genuinely surprised.

„Of course I did, Chibi-chan. I'm your best friend, I know the way you think.”

„That's...kinda creepy,” she mumbled and Kuroo and Kenma both chuckled at her words.

„I'm kidding. I saw you guys at the café. Your disguising really needs an upgrade.”
