Chapter 9: Call

Logan has arrived. An American bodyguard were waiting at him outside the airport. 
"This way sir." The bodyguard said and carry all his things and put it in the trunk. 
It's not that good to be back. He thought. While they were driving to his parent's house, he keep looking at the window of their car. I miss my wife and my kids already.  He thought.  Everything has change after their wedding, he become more committed to his wife and to their kids. He will really surely miss them as he will be gone for 2 months to take care of everything especially his business here in America and also dealing with his parent's wrong doings. They have finally arrived at their house. James and Stella are waiting inside their house. When Stella and James heard that their son is already outside they immediately go out and meet their son. 
"Logan." Stella said and hug his son. Logan didn't hug her mom back. Instead he just smile at her and to his father. They all went back inside the house. Silence surrounds the whole house not until Alex and Emma came. "Grandma!" Logan stood up and hug his grandmother. They let go of the hug. "bro, welcome back. And I forgot to say congratulations with you marriage." Alex said that make the place very awkward for all of them .  "thank you." Logan replied with an awkward smile. "So where's my room?" Logan ask and Stella immediately stood up and guide him into his room. He immediately go inside his room and change his clothes. Stella went down and prepare for dinner. When she was done preparing for their dinner she called Logan and have a dinner with them. "Logan, let's eat." Stella said. "Okay." Logan replied coldly. He guide his grandmother on her seat and sat in front of her grandmother. Her grandmother start asking Logan. " So how's my grandson's life in Korea? How's marriage? How was it being a father?" His grandma ask her a lot of questions. Logan was bombarded with his grandmother's question. But he still able to answer it smartly. "It was all fine. I was more stressed with my business than being a husband and father to my kids. My marriage? of course it is really good. But we are not staying in Korea for good. We'll move here in America soon if I already settled everything. " While he was talking, his parents regrets and guilt comes back as they saw their son growing up as a fine man. James didn't talk the whole time. Logan went back to his room and brush his teeth then get his phone and immediately call his wife. Stella was supposed to go to Logan's room to talk to him sincerely. But she stopped by at the door when he heard his son talking to someone. 

"Good Morning. " Logan said while talking facing his phone. 
"Good Morning, love. How's your flight? You supposed to be asleep this time. It's night there." A voice of a woman was heard.
"Omo, Sooryeon-ah don't worry. Jetlag was just a little piece of thing for me. Did you already eat breakfast?" Logan ask Sooryeon. Sooryeon were about to answer Logan's question when the kid's voice were heard . Sooryeon gave her phone to the kids and went to the kitchen to cook for breakfast so that they can talk to him properly.  "Appa!!" The two girls shouted. And Logan left a small laugh hearing the two girl's shouting the word appa. "Appa, how's the flight?" Seokhoon look at phone and ask Logan. "The flight was good, Seokhoon-ah." Logan answered. "Seokhoon-ah, take care of your siblings okay?" Logan said. "Ne,appa!" Seokhoon replied. Sooryeon was looking at them and suddenly smile. This was the first time that Sooryeon saw her children being excited talking to someone. The kids were done talking to Logan so they give back the phone to their mom. 
"Love, don't forget to take care of yourself okay? Dan Tae still alive so the surrounding still not safe. Joo Dan Tae might have his people outside. But don't worry I am monitoring him everyday." Logan softly say.
"Ne, jagiya. Just rest for now. We can talk everyday. I'll update you too. Good Night there, my love. "
"Good night, my love. Saranghae." Logan sweet voice.
"Good Night... nado sarangahe, logan-ssi." Sooryeon replied. They smiled at each other and ended the video call. 

While they were talking, Stella was listening the whole time. She realized how Logan love Sooryeon that makes her guilt arose again. She really regret doing that Min Seol Ah. Because the day they do that to Min Seol Ah, the day they also lose their son. Not physically but they don't feel his presence anymore. Logan was really a righteous, kind, and always wanted the right justice. She remember what Logan once said to them. You should kneel down in front of Sooryeon and tell your apologies sincerely. You should never live like nothing happened. Regret what you did to the innocent child. Be a human, at least.  Stella thought of what Logan said and decided to do the right thing this time. She told her husband, James, about what her plans are. And James agreed with it. 

Logan was staying in America just for work, clearing his name, and doing things to punished Joo Dan Tae who were imprisoned in Korea right now. Joo Dan tae has his own plan, and Logan too. No one can outsmart the Logan himself. He will definitely risk her life for his family. For Shim SooRyeon, for Hyein, for Seokkyung and Seokhoon.
