Chapter 2: Let's be happy

Logan and Sooryeon is now talking at their living room. Talking about what happen today.
"So how's your day, My Soo Ryeon?" Logan asked Shim Soo Ryeon and hold her hand as he always do. Soo Ryeon hold Logan's cheeks "It's a very nice day, my love. I was able to met good people earlier. And addition to that my husband also fetch me today so my day is complete. But a little bit sad.." Sooryeon showed a sad face to Logan that makes Logan worry. "Why? Why is my wife sad? What happen? Did someone bothered today or you are worrying again that Joo Dan Tae might escape the prison again?" A question of worries. Logan hold Sooryeoon's hands but Sooryeon saw how Logan is worried for her right now. "I am sad coz my Logan is leaving. I am sad coz I'll be alone again at my room. I am sad coz the penthouse will be quiet again. I am sad coz till now Logan is suffering. " Sooryeon replied while a little teardrops fall from her eyes. "Listen,Sooryeon-ah. I am not suffering okay? Listen, I am going there to pay for what my parents did. It's been a year since Joo Dan Tae was imprisoned he might be thinking a lot of plans now how to escape from that hell that he really belongs to. I am going back to America because I have to pay also for my mistakes to Min Seol A and besides Seol A is a precious person to my Sooryeon. I'll come back safely. " Logan reassure Shim Soo Ryeon that nothing would happen to him. Logan wiped Sooryeon's tears as her worries still embedded to her. "Just promise me one thing Sooryeon-ah." "What is it Logan?" "You have to take care of yourself, okay? " "Arraseo,yeobo. You too. You have to take care." Sooryeon replied smiling to Logan and Logan smiled back and kiss Sooryeon's forehead. While they were talking little did they know their kids are watching them and listening to their conversation. "Oppa, eomma is so happy now. Unlike before that all I see from her eyes was pain. I'm glad that Logan ssaem came to eomma's life and stand as our father and accept us even when we did something to Seol-a. " Seokkyung said in not so loud voice so that their parents won't notice them. "You are right,Seokkyung-ah. For the first time in my life I felt a real father's love and unexpectedly I will only get to a very unexpected person. I hope we will stay like this forever. " Seokhoon replied. "You know what unnie,oppa. Logan ahjussi is really a good guy. I remembered when she first lose eomma because he thought she died, he was very devastated, he can't even talk to to me properly and I always caught him crying on his room in America. " Hyein butt in. 

FLASHBACK 

Hye in's POV
  I am now okay since the doctors here in America is so great and there is Logan ahjussi who helped me to recover that fast. I am now perfectly okay but the sad thing is eomma won't see me again doing fine and being okay. Since I received the news that eomma died at Penthouse, I regret living today . My anger towards Joo Dan Tae increases as I want to kill him now. At first I was very mad that I was able to stand up, threw things away then Logan ahjussi came and stop me from doing that.

"Eomma!! Why?! Why do you have to leave me? I am now okay and fine. I can now walk but you are gone. " I shouted throught my lungs then ahjussi came and hold me "Hyein-ah , stop it. Stop it. " When I saw ahjussi at first I was really mad since he promise that he will protect eomma from bad people but when I look into another angle his face is now different from before. "You said you will protect eomma no matter what! You said she will come with you and she will take care of me. You said you will bring her to me. You promise,ahjussi. You promise. " "I am so sorry, Hyein-ah. I'm sorry. I'm sorry I wasn't able to keep that promise. " he cried while holding me. This is the first time that I saw him cry. And from that I was in silent, I couldn't talk. And just go back to my bed while he was assisting me he said " You can now go home, Hyein-ah. Temporarily you have to live in my villa. Then I will bring you back in Korea if everything is okay. If Joo Dan Tae  will be imprisoned I will bring you back there safely. I prmoise. " I nod as I agree. 
THE NEXT DAY

I am now at ahjussi's villa. This place is so big. But he told me that he was just living here alone. And he also told me that this the place that eomma and I supposed to live. I look at Ahjussi and he can't even smile at all since he came back from Korea, I never saw him smile again. 

It's night already and I went to my room and sleep but when I was roaming around the house I hear someone sobbing and I follow the sound and it is in ahjussi's room. As I hear those words he said while looking at Seola and eomma's picture I am covering my mouth coz he might hear me.

"Sooryeon-ssi, did you meet with Seol-ah now? Are you now in peace? Are you now okay?No more pain? I bet you already hug Seol-ah up there. Tell her I miss her too. I would give justice to what happen to you, Sooryeon-ssi. By the way, Hyein is now okay and he is now living with me here. I hope we got close. I will still fulfill my promise to you even when you're gone. Saranghae, Sooryeon-ssi." 

" Ahjussi.." 

"O,Hyein-ah. What are you doing here?" 
"I hear someone crying and I thought it  might be you who's crying and I am right. Ahjussi, do you love eomma that much?" 
" To tell you honestly, hyein-ah. Yes. I love your mom so much, that I made her my world but this cruel world didn't allow me to fulfill my promise to here while she's alive. This cruel world didn't let me love her while she is alive. " While listening to Ahjussi, I can't help but to cry. He really love my mom that much. But how can he loves her and confess to her when she is now gone. FOREVER. The first time I felt that I have a father was with Logan ahjussi. But I can't call her appa since we are not even related to each other. but his jext words shocks me. "Hyein-ah, everytime I caught you looking to those family in the hospital, I feel like you want that too. You want to have a family who will also bond with you like that. But hyein-ah, you can call me appa if you want. I already treat you as my daughter since you  are the daughter of the woman I love. " "Really, Ahjussi? " " Yes." He smiled and tap my head but I can feel through his eyes that he is really sad. "Thank  you, appa. "  He smiled again and he told me to go to sleep. So I went out of his room and went to back my room and sleep. 

END OF FLASHBACK.

Family is not just about blood relation. It is all about how does a certain person treat you with love and care. Being treated as a family despite of being not blood-related is one of the greatest blessing that a person  can have.
