Chapter 31: Fight

"Lee Hyein! That brat! Where does that kid get her bravery?! Ahhhhh!" Seojin slams the door in her office, her secretary hears the noises so he immediately goes to Seojin and asks in concern. "Are you okay, Ms. Cheon?"

"Get out!" Seojin shouts at Sec. Do and Secretary Do leaves

Seojin went to her chair and sir. She holds her forehead.

"I was able to make Sooryeon and Logan out of my sight so I can also make Hyein out of my sight. I need my daughter back. That brat really manipulated my daughter. Aishh.." Seojin said angrily. She looks at the paper beside her and crumples it.

"Hyein-ah.." Logan sits beside Hyein and caresses her hair.

"Ne, appa?" Hyein paused the movie that she was watching and looked at her dad.

"How come you and Eunbyul were close?" Logan asked because he was really curious after the scenario last night.Hyein smiled at her dad before answering. "Appa... the first time me and Eunbyul unnie met, that was so bad. It wasn't nice at all. She bullied me and I fought back, then her mother came across the next morning and tried to hurt me. But there's one thing I notice, when I look at Eunbyul's eyes, there's pain,there's something in her eyes that other people can't see even her own mother. She was lonely, appa." Hyein explained.

"Wow, our Hyein is very considerate and a good observer. But I want to know how did you approach her?" Hyein smiled happily and answered the question.

"I gave her food and snacks and guess what , she likes macaroons. Then I started offering her food. And she gladly accepted it. We always met secretly. I don't want other people to know about it. I want Eunbyul unnie to accept and forgive herself first. Appa, she just needs a friend that can understand her. I am now actually helping her to get close with Rona unnie." Logan smiled at his daughter and pat her shoulder.

"You have your mother's beautiful heart." Logan said. "Mother? You know my biological mom?!"

"No, of course your Suryeon eomma." Logan explained and he saw Hyein's eyes became sad. "Hyein-ah, even if you are not with your biological mom, you have your Suryeon eomma. You have her very beautiful heart. Listen, Hyein-ah... family doesn't always have to be blood-related to be called a family. A family should be the one who can be a good role model to everyone, that will teach you moral values, and good traits. I may not be your real father or you,Seokhoon and Seokkyung might not be my own children. But I want to treat you as my own coz you are also Sooryeon's treasure. Right, Hyein-ah?"

"Ne, Appa!" Two voices were heard, Logan looked back and he saw Seokkyung and Seokhoon standing there.

"Oppa, unnie. How's your day?" Hyein ran to her siblings and hugged them.

"We are fine, princess Hyein." Seokkyung said sweetly.

"Annyeong, appa. Where's eomma?" Seokhoon asked.

"Your mom? Maybe in the garden or in the kitchen." Logan replied. He stood up to go where Sooryeon was. He kept on roaming around his villa but he didn't see any glance of Sooryeon. He is now starting to get nervous. He rams back to their house and asks the children to call Sooryeon. "Did your mom answer the call?" Logan asked worriedly, he can't stay still knowing Sooryeon can't be found inside the villa. "Eomma is not answering my calls nor replying to my text." Seokkyung informed them. They were all starting to get worried. Logan called Yoonchul and Yoonhee to ask if they saw Sooryeon or Sooryeon called them but they all answered NO.
