CHAPTER 4

KYUNGSOO'S POV

I'm in the kitchen baking a cake for dinner while the hustle bustle among the butler's and maids starts once again. *Guess dad is too excited to meet them*. I keep concentrating on making the cake batter when I feel my heart racing at its maximum speed. *Why is it beating so fast, but I feel no pain*. I take a deep breath to calm it down and luckily it did. *Thank you, heavens*. I see Mr Choi "Mr Choi, how much time is left before they arrive". "As per the latest news, they will come here in two hours, your highness". "Thank you, Mr Choi." I smile and he smiles back. I'm done making the cake batter, pouring it into the cake mould and placed it in the oven to bake. I start preparing the frosting *Why did dad tell me to bake a cake for today's dessert when the royal cooks could do it*.

I prepare the frosting and I hear a ting indicating that the cake is all done. Carefully bringing it out and spreading the frosting, I can finish the cake decoration before the guests arrive. While decorating the cake I suddenly felt tears rolling down my cheek. I wipe it. *Was I crying* I placed my hand on my heart *What's this feeling that I've never felt till now*. I shake those thoughts off and finish decorating the cake. I wipe my hands on my apron and go out of the kitchen. "Dad, may I ask you something". He nods smiling. "Yes, Kyungsoo dear, ask", "Why did you tell me to bake a cake for the guest's dad".

He giggles "Hmm, it's because you bake pretty well, so I thought why don't our guests taste it You didn't like it when I told you to bake a cake as a dessert, Kyung?" "No dad, I was just curious". He raises his eyebrow "Are we sure, is something else bothering you Kyung?" That caught me off guard. "H-huh, Y-yeah dad nothing is bothering me". He stands up, keeps a hand on my shoulder and looks at me. He knows I can't lie, rather none of us can lie so I sigh quietly. He smiles softly and makes me sit on the couch.

"Dad, I don't know why my heart bet too fast when I was preparing the dessert, but there was no pain after that and also while decorating it. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks". He nods understandingly. "I don't know about the tears but I'm sure about the heart beating fast". I look at him and my eyes clearly showing the plea to tell the reason. He chuckles "You're excited to meet them, they are beautiful, beautiful is an understatement, you can't take your eyes off them. I feel that's the reason your heart's beating fast".

He teases me "Oh god, my boys grew up so quick that their heart's fluttering, I'm growing old" He scoffs playfully. I facepalm and he laughs softly. "Don't worry my boy, it happens, so don't think much about it okay, I guess you're tired so better rest before they come. Might as well be because you know this is her favourite flavour cake". He has a point cuz before I went to do a dessert for today's dinner, I was practising fencing for the upcoming project. "I guess, you're right dad, I should go rest for some time". He nods understandingly. "Thank you, dad". He smiles "Anytime dear". I leave the room and go to my room to take a rest. *She used to love cakes, I wonder if she likes them*. Unknowingly, I sleep, smiling.

SEREN'S POV

*I wonder how he's doing, is he eating, sleeping and doing his routines properly* a lot of thoughts run in my mind which makes me feel lost. Reality hits me "Thinking about him, are we?". "Yeah". "It's over a decade and a half since you met him, Seren". "I know Naomi, but neither my heart nor my mind stops thinking about him". She holds my hand and caresses. I smile. "He surely is doing fine". I look at her "How do you know that he is doing fine". She smiles "I don't know, my heart says it".

I sigh quietly and nod. She doesn't leave my hand and that's absolutely fine with me. We cross Salisbury and I see Naomi still holding my hand and Aryana, Sereia and her being fast asleep. *Guess they are too tired after running behind me*. I smile and look out enjoying the view. The informer then says that we will be reaching Wales in two hours. I nod and smile at the chauffer for informing me. I don't know why is my heart beating too fast in its cage from the time we left our home.

I take a deep breath to calm it down and it does *Thank goodness*. I lean my head on the window and close my eyes. Don't know when I fell asleep but the time, I wake up I feel tears rolling out of my eye. I wipe them and keep a hand on my heart *What's this feeling, I'm happy but at the same time crying, Guess I'm missing dad, mom, uncle and aunt*. I shake my head lightly to remove those thoughts and slightly rub my eyes. I see that they are still sleeping, so I didn't dare to disturb them.

Slowly placing small cushions under their heads so that they can sleep properly without straining their necks. I keep looking outside and is awestruck by the beauty of the place. * Wales is beautiful. I wish I could stay here for a long time* I smile at this thought and lean my head on the window continuing watching the nature around me. I sleep again, with a smile on my face.
