CHAPTER 27

TIME SKIP: 4 months

SEASON: AUTUMN

SIOFRA'S POV:

Seren and I sit out and look at the night sky. I know something is bothering her. "Seren all good?". She sighs. "No. Sio...I'm not sure if my thinking is going in the right direction". I look at her. "What do you mean?". "I'm worried about Sehun". She says. "What about him?". I can sense the uncomfortableness. " I don't know why I can't seem to like his friends' circle". I look at her. She looks at me and continues. " I mean, the day he came home late, his friends were the ones who bought him home. The way they dressed or the way they behaved that day, anyone who met them wouldn't take them in a bad way. Though they were all dressed up like gentlemen, I  still don't seem to like them".

It's not the first time Seren feels off about something. If she feels off about something, it means she saw something about it but isn't able to accept the fact. " Did you see something about them, that your mind doesn't seem to accept?". She nods her head in a yes. "Yesterday morning, in a newspaper, I read that in a nearby locality, a theft happened and the ones who carried the theft are the ones who escaped jail". Oh my, that's bad. "Dang, did you see their faces?". "Not clearly, but as much as I had a look of them, they looked like Sehun's friends who bought him home that day". "Maybe".

"I don't know why I feel he should leave his friends. They aren't good for him". "But Seren, how are you sure that the ones whom you saw in the newspaper are the same as them". "You remember that one of my friends is a police officer right?". I nod. She was her best friend since grade 5. "Hmm... so". "So... once I called her to ask how she is, she told that she's quite stressed as her team isn't able to track those robbers". "Dang". "Yeah". "I asked her and she told me the pics are on the newspaper. She even sent me their pics". She says and sighs

My eyes go wide hearing that. "So... the pics match". "Yeah I guess, unfortunately. Ughh I don't know. I'm messed up". I go and keep an arm around her shoulder and pull her for a side hug. "Sio, I don't know how to tell this to Hunnie. But he should know this. I know he won't fall for their tricks, but still warning him is important. Telling him to not hang out much with them will keep him safe". I know why is she hesitating. She's not nosy, but worries a lot about her loved ones. "What are you thinking?". "I'm thinking if saying this would be a wise thing to do or not. After meeting them, there's a slight change in how he behaves and clothing style as well". That's something I can't disagree with.

"We all have seen how Sehunie changed after meeting them. Staying awake till late nights, clubbing, partying, regular hangovers, eating habits, etc. Not that they necessarily are behind it but he sure is getting affected which concerns me Sio." I nod and gently pat the side of her head. " Should I tell him this or not Sio". Little did we know Sehun heard our conversation. Telling him will have its own consequences and not telling him will too. Basically, both of them will have their own consequences. "I'm not sure Seren, you know right? Telling him or not telling him will have consequences which are hard to bear". She hmms.

"I know. Telling him would have two outcomes. One, he understands and tells me not to interfere. Two, he would just think I'm being nosy and get mad at me". I nod, but I'm sure she knows the consequences are deeper and bigger than this. Potentially, might lead to one scarring the other with words. "Good way of keeping it out, but you know the outcomes might be worse than that". " I very well know that Sio. It can lead to a big fight and things may go haywire between me and him. He might even stop considering me as his elder sister, but I can't just be sitting here and see him ruining himself because of them. The problem here is he's really loyal. And the most loyal person faces the biggest blow of betrayal in their lives, which hurts them. Sehun barely opens up, I don't want him to put his guard up in front of his family". She has a point though.
