CHAPTER 7

MYSTERY PERSON'S POV:

I follow her to the garden and try finding her. It's been 15 mins since I'm searching but she is nowhere to be found. I run around the area and find her sitting near the fountain with her hand in the water. *It's a perfect chance to do what I always wanted to; those lips belong to me*. I smirk as I approach her. * Tonight, I'll make her mine*. I'm close to her, so close to her. But I miss the chance.

BAEKHYUN'S POV:

I go out after Nini told me all that happened to Seren. I just don't know why from the time I saw her 7 years ago; I felt the sense to protect her.  As I run around, my mind, heart and eyes search only for one person ... Seren. I sigh of relief that I find her sitting by the fountain, silently, playing with water and lost in thoughts. I approach her and keep my hand on her shoulder. She jerks a little and turns slowly to looks back.

She sighs in relief but her eyes become a lot wide (A/N: Kyungsoo's eyes). She stands up "Prince Baekhyun". "Princess Seren, what are you doing here in the night and that too in this cold."  She looks down "I felt a bit crowded inside that's the reason I came out to get some air". "Look at me and answer Seren". She raises her head slowly to look into my eyes but keeps averting her gaze. I giggle "You don't know how to lie Seren. Your eyes try every possible way not to look into mine." "Nothing like that Prince Baekhyun". "Just call me Baekhyun".

Her eyes meet mine and I see an arrow coming towards her. Before it could hurt her, I immediately pull her close and divert the arrow to the other side. She holds onto my coat with her hands on my shoulder with one of my arms secured around her waist. I hear some ruffling on the branch of the tree. I am ready with my sword to fight. But it's all calm. Then I slowly remove my arm around her waist and she lets go of her grip on my shoulders. She blushes which makes me giggle softly. She lifts her head and looks at me.

"Thank you, Prince Baekhyun, for today". I raise my eyebrow "What did you call me, did I hear prince Baekhyun". Her eyes widen "I mean thank you B-B-Baekhyun ". I smile when she calls me Baekhyun. "I'm sure you wouldn't wish to faint from cold right?". "Yeah". "Great then, let's go inside before you catch a cold". She nods and smiles and I swear to God her smile is the second most beautiful smile I've seen after my mother and aunt's smile. I remove my coat and wrap it around her shoulders so she doesn't catch a cold.

She smiles shyly as I put it around her. *She's still cute* I smile seeing her blush. My heart warms up instantly as our hands brush slightly while walking. I see that the hall is now empty as the maids are cleaning the mess. They bow to me and Seren. We bow back. I walk her to her room. "Good night Seren". "Night Baekhyun". I turn to go to my room. "Baekhyun". I turn and see Seren running towards me. I stop walking and she gives me back my coat. My eyes go wide when she hugs me. I slowly return the gesture. "Thank you Baekhyun". I caress her hair "My pleasure Seren". We stay in that hug for 5 minutes and then smile at each other.

We slowly break the hug and go to our rooms smiling. I go to my room and change into my nightclothes. Lying on my bed and looking up to the ceiling I smile remembering the moments Seren and I shared today. *I wish we make more memories*. My smile slowly fades away and start thinking about the arrow I saw earlier tonight. *It looked familiar, but where have I seen it*. I'm so deep into my thoughts that I didn't notice Kai and Sehun sitting on my bed. "Ahem-ahem" Sehun clears his throat which brings me out of the trance I was in. "Yeah, Sehunnie and Jongini, tell me". "Baekhyun what happened, you seem lost". Jongini said while taking a seat on the chair. I sit on the bed with my back against the headboard.

SEHUN'S POV.

I put my legs under the covers and lean my head on the headboard. Baekhyun passes me a cushion to place it under my neck so that it doesn't hurt and tells nini to come onto the bed so that he can lie on it and talk." Exactly did something happen when you were out in the garden to check on Princess Seren". I ask "She was going to faint. Something was bothering her and also, she didn't eat well at dinner.

When I asked Princess Aryana; she said that she eats pretty well and that she ate quite less today". Nini adds while supporting himself on one arm on the bed. I take a glass of water to drink. Baekhyun sighs. I and Nini look at each other and look at Baekhyun. We sigh slowly. "She was attacked". I spit the water from my mouth and nini falls on the bed as his arm gave up after what we heard. "What do you mean".

Nini asked sitting on the bed straight. "An arrow came towards her that would have shot her ". My eyes go wide. "What the hell". He nods his head understandingly. "But the craziest part is the arrow that was shot seemed quite familiar". We look at each other.

"Are you thinking what I am?". I look at them for assurance. They both nod their heads. I smirk "Then what are we waiting for, let's go and find out". We immediately get off the bed and run to the garden with our robes tightened. We directly go to the place where this took place. "NO WAY !!!!!!!!!!". We hear Baekhyun shouting looking at a tree. We run to him. We get a shock looking at the tree.

Wondering why I published a chapter today? It's because I've got an internship in January. So to complete the book by January, there'll be a few additions to the update schedule. I'll be posting every Saturday and Sunday. Hehe, weekends.
