CHAPTER 48

CHANYEOL' S POV:
After some time of crying our hearts out as we met the first love our life, Nova . I literally missed her a lot and seeing her so vulnerable aches my heart . She apologised for making us hate ourselves and that's fine . It's not a big deal when compared to her . All that matters is she is alive and safe. We look at our wives and they have a small smile on their faces , with a few tears and our parents are so happy that they just can't stop smiling even if tears are cascading down their cheeks .
We almost lost hope that we would ever be able to see Nova in this lifetime , to be able to touch and feel her presence that still gives us happiness and warmth . Though she had , had and will always have a permanent place in our hearts , no matter how many people we love in between , but sometimes we turn selfish too .

During the initial years of fights , Baekhyun , Yixing and Minseok hired private investigators to track down Nova and bring her back home . Well we almost caught her , but however lost track of her again. It was super agonising to be away from our lil sisters, the one whom we never wished to take out of our sight . That doesn't mean she was captured and locked . She had her freedom to go out with her friends , watch movies , stay at night outs and do everything she loves. It's just that we are protective towards her and sometimes become overprotective as well . Not our brothers fault tho . We immensely love our sister.

Nova smiles after we hug each other for a long time , not letting go of each other . "I'm so happy to have reconciled with you all. Thank you so much for waiting for me" She says , voice quivering with a small smile on her face . " I'm sorry for hurting you all". She looks at us and her eyes oscillate between Soo and Baekhyun . The amount of torture these two have gone is way beyond one's imagination. The world only knows the Soo who doesn't regret but it's us who knows that he does regret things he assumed that is against his rule book . Baekhyun is known to be the one who's a mood maker , doesn't actually indulge in deep conversations but is actually a person who's deeper than most of us . He's wiser than most of us . The best part of Baekhyun is he can immediately know the tone of the speaker.

Nova gets up from the sofa and walks to them . We all look at each other, and then look at them. Nova holds their hands and hugs them together . Baek and Soo look at each other and hesitantly hug her back. They haven't got uncomfortable it's just that it's been ages since they actually felt our lil sister hugging them . " I'm sorry for not listening to you both , I really am". She says while breaking from the hug . They smile and caresses her cheeks . " It's okay Nova . All that matters to us you're safe and sound . Everything else is long gone" . Soo says. Baek nods . " Absolutely" He agrees while slowly caressing her hair. They kiss her forehead which makes us burst in smiles. Finally have their torture come to an end . Finally .

" ON THE OCCASION OF RECONCILIATION , LET'S HAVE A PARTY" Ralph says excitedly . We all stifle a laugh. It indeed deserves a party . " Let's party while having lunch" Nova adds and we all nod . Making way to the garden , we take our seats in the open garden finding table surrounded by green grass and leaves falling , as it's autumn. Who knew the cold autumn wind that generally puts us in the mood of being cozy cozy would actually be this warm with loved ones around you? We help kids to put their napkins around them while the girls serve lunch . We smile looking at the interactions between Nova and our wives . They got  pretty close in a small span of time hmm . Nice .

Helping our wives sit and serving them food , we eat while talking and making jokes .

KYUNGSOO'S POV :
We discuss about desserts. " Cinnamon rolls are the best. Chocolate flavour rolls are okayish " Nova adds licking her lips. Seren adds " I feel chocolate rolls taste better than the ones with  Cinnamon". We look at her. My eyes become a bit wide and a naughty grin plasters on my face . I know what she's doing. "I'm sorry , but Cinnamon rolls are too good to be compared with chocolate" . " Hmmm ..... I think you mean the other way around right Nova" . Nova looks at her and stifles a laugh . " No.... Cinnamon rolls are heaven . I said what I said" . Seren shrugs . " Alright , but Chocolate rolls are paradise" .

She and her love for chocolate. Nova and Seren break into small laughs which makes us laugh . " As long as it's made my Kyung, everything is paradise" Nova adds . Seren clincks the glass with Nova . " This is something I can't disagree on" She agrees while giggling. Nova does a lil dance of hers as if she's happy wining against Seren . " Most of us are good cooks now" Minseok adds . Nova looks at us . " Oh , I would love to taste foods made by other of my brothers".  We boys look at each other and smile. Winking we say " As you say your  highness" . We all laugh. " Moms , dads , do you need something ? Did something happen? Why aren't you all laughing . All I've been seeing is a smile on your faces" . They smile softly . " We are smiling because now our  family looks complete". Aunt Cary adds smiling . " Hmm , that's true , but Nova you surely have a punishment waiting for you when you come to wales . Make sure you're ready for it". Dad adds .

" Junmyeon dad no punishment please , please , please" she pleads . He shakes his head in a no . " I'm not hearing anything . You'll have to face it and that's final" he says hiding his smile. Nova pouts . " Charlotte mom , you tell him please" . Mom looks at her and then diverts her gaze to Dad. Dad looks at mom and mom giggles silently but covers it up . " I'm afraid I'm of no help this time darling . You'll have to face the punishment. I'm sorry" she says sighing softly and patting Nova's  hand . Man I never knew that my family are such good actors. Guess acting runs in our blood huh .

" Well I agree with Jun , She deserves a punishment for being a naughty girl" Uncle Elis adds with a small grin on his face . " Mommmmmm" Aunt Cary laughs softly but still shrugs conveying that even she's of no help. Nova sighs and sulks. " Alright , what's the punishment?" She asks pouting. " You're punishment is to wear a gown, with jewelleries , heels and slight make up" . Her eyes widen and she starts whining that she doesn't want to wear them. We know how much she dislikes wearing them . Nice play moms and dads. I know it's wrong laughing at her whining but we can't help ourselves . We burst out laughing .

Maybe this is how it feels after reconciling with your loved ones after a two decade fight.

CHAPTER 48 PUBLISHED. Finally did their wait come to an end . Things are slowly returning to the way it was . Even if they are not , I'm sure they have the power to start new . Afterall not everything that starts bad ends bad . With the same optimism let's make the new year our year.

With that being said, as today is the last day of 2021 , let's express our gratitudes to all those who have been with us , supported us , loved us regardless of our mistakes and past. Let's shout out our thanks to all of them who have made it through the year . To the ones who have started strong no matter regardless of how the year went for them . A big thank you and gratitude from my side for staying strong , for the ones who love you. Thank you so very much.

Having said that , only 2 more chapters left to end this book. Those two chapters will be posted today as well . The next chapter is the official ending of this book and succeeding chapter is the epilogue . Please do wait for them .

And you guys left me shook . 1K reads ?!?!? Are you guys serious ? This is something that took so long to be accepted in system . I've still not accepted the fact that CAELUM reached 1K reads . The gone year has surely taught us all lessons , keeping them in mind , let's stay healthy , safe and the same time strong in 2022 as well .
