"Did they found Chaeyoung?"

Hearing her name after almost six years, sent chills to Mina's spine. She felt her throat closing and even if she tries to gasp for air, it feels like her lungs are blocked from getting any.

This didn't became unnotice by her friends who shared the same worried and confused expression.

They've been careful for the last six years not to mention Chaeyoung's name whenever they're with Mina. They all know the damaged she did with the latter.

However, Mrs. Im's question got them all curious. What does she mean about finding Chaeyoung? It's been a while since they last heard from her. After breaking up with Mina, Chaeyoung became distant with their friends and the last people she talked to and hang out with were Jeongyeon and Dahyun but that was almost four years ago.

All of them, except Chaeyoung kept in touch with one another despite being in different countries and different timezones. Mina and Momo went back to Japan, Tzuyu and Sana, after graduating in college, stayed in Canada, Jihyo and Dahyun in Gangnam, while Jeongyeon and Nayeon stayed in Itaewon.

No one actually know what happened among them. In spite the anger they had for Chaeyoung when she hurt Mina, that anger didn't last long, it's more of disappointment than anger, they never hated her. They can't hate her. She's still their sister. All they know is that Chaeyoung chose to separate their ways. She's the one who close her doors for her friends.

"Chaeyoung, did they found her yet?" Mrs. Im repeated.

Like before, they all shared a puzzled look except Nayeon.

"Not yet, mom." Nayeon answered. Mrs. Im just nodded and left the girls to go back in the kitchen.

No one dared to say anything or ask question after the older woman left, not until Dahyun broke the silence.

"What does aunty means about Chaeyoung?" She asked. Definitely shocking everyone.

Jihyo tried to hide her smile because of Dahyun's action, she knows how the latter and Chaeyoung are close to each other and she knows Dahyun, just like them, wants to know what happened to Chaeyoung. Something only Nayeon can answer.

Nayeon glanced at Mina contemplating whether she'll tell her expecting friends or not. And when Mina just continued eating, without lifting her head, Nayeon sighed before telling about what her mom meant.

"I just knew about it last week, when I went back here." she started. "Chaeyoung has been missing for over a year now."

Mina stopped lifting her spoon midway. Her mind tried to stop her body from paying attention to what Nayeon is telling but her heart decide otherwise.

"Mom thought we knew about it so she never talked about it to me when it happened." Nayeon added as pairs of eyes look at her attentively.

"What happened?" Jeongyeon asked, voice almost cracking. "What happened to Chaeng?"

Nayeon bit her lower lip hearing her soon to be wife's concerned voice. Jeongyeon is as close as Dahyun to Chaeyoung. Jeong treated Chaeyoung as a younger sister.

"Their house was caught on fire over a year ago. Same day she went missing. At first.. At first they thought she died as well-"

"As well??" Jihyo asked, with a strong tone, making Nayeon gulped in fear.

"Y-yeah. The fire fighters found her step father's body but they didn't found hers." Nayeon, despite her hesitation continued. "So they arrived at the conclusion she got out of the house before anything happened to her. They believed she's still alive and is still out there.. somewhere"

"What the hell? Why didn't you tell this to us the first time you knew about it?" Dahyun asked firmly, her voice almost sounded angry leaving Nayeon and others in awe. "I'm sorry, I just need some air." she added, before standing up.

Momo instantly got up too. "I'm sorry, she's just worried. I'll talk to her."

Nayeon gave her a weak nod as Jeongyeon pats her back.

"I'm sorry, I should've told you guys sooner. I just- I" Nayeon stuttered.

"Hey, it's okay." Sana said, reaching Nayeon's hand on the table.

"You don't have to explain." Jihyo added.

"It's no one's fault." Tzuyu smiled weakly, "Don't beat yourself up, Dahyun's just worried."

Mina just listened to everything and everyone. She don't know how to absorb the things that she heard. She can't seem to absorb what's happening right at this very moment either.

"Hey, Mina.." Jeongyeon called, "A- are you okay?"

Mina lifted her head and looked straight to her friend as she nods, "Yes."

Not wanting Mrs. Im to feel bad, the girls remained in the table, finished the food the older woman prepared despite not having the appetite.

Mina, Jeongyeon, and Tzuyu helped Mrs. Im to clean the table while Momo and Dahyun are still outside. Sana and Jihyo went upstairs to prepare the room where they'll be staying.

Nayeon found herself walking in their garden, still feeling bad about what happened at dinner despite her friends reassurance that everything's okay and going to be okay.

"Hey." She heard a voice, followed by the sound of footsteps getting close to her behind.

"D-Dahyun." Nayeon said, looking at her friend for a second before looking at the ground.

"I'm sorry" they both said at the same time.

"Oh." Dahyun chuckled. "Hey, look at me."

Nayeon pursed her lips as she slowly lifted her head up. "I'm sorry, Dubu."

"No." Dahyun objected. "I should be the one to apologise. I- I didn't mean to raise my voice. I'm sorry."

"No. I'm sorry I didn't tell it sooner. I just don't know how to tell you guys." Nayeon admitted. "I guess I assumed you guys don't want to know about her."

"I understand." Dahyun nodded. "We never spoke about her for ages.. Somehow, a while back, I felt that we all still care about her. Even after she pushed us away. I saw it. We all still care about her, even Mina."

"You think so?"

"Yeah. I saw it in her eyes." Dahyun answered. "She's our friend, we will always care about her.."

Nayeon noticed Dahyun's tone. "But?"

"But.. I- I'm mad at myself, Nayeon." Dahyun sighed. "She's my bro."

Nayeon watched as Dahyun sat on the grass while still looking at the stars.

"She's my bro and I didn't gave an effort not to lose her." she continued.

It's sad Dahyun feels that way. Nayeon knows everyone of them tried to hold on to Chaeyoung when she became distant. Most especially Dahyun.

"That's not true. Among us, you're the one who held onto Chaeng the longest. You did everything to keep her. It's not your fault she's the one who let go of us." Nayeon said, sitting beside Dahyun. "We can't force her, you know how hard-headed your bro is."

"I know." Dahyun chuckled, remembering how stubborn Chaeyoung is. "I just- I feel like I didn't tried harder.."
