Mina awoke the next morning to find Chaeyoung still asleep. She tried to stop herself from smiling when she realized that the shorter girl had snaked her arms up the sleeves of Mina's sweater to keep her own hands warm, but failed completely.

I'm just here to help her be okay again. Nothing else. She reminded herself to make her stop from smiling because of this view that is Chaeyoung.

"Chaeng." she whispered, nudging the shorter girl softly, without really the intention to wake her up, so she will have time to prepare for their breakfast.

"Hmmm." Chaeyoung hummed, squinting her eyes to see the person calling her so lovely. "Morning." she greeted.

"Morning." Mina laughed softly, sliding her arms out of the smaller girl slowly. "I'll prepare our breakfast."

"Uhumm." Chaeyoung nodded, snuggling on Mina's pillow.

A little over two hours later, they arrived at the mall. All through out their stroll, Chaeyoung made sure to stay as close as she can to Mina and the latter don't mind it at all. She's aware that this could be overwhelming for the shorter girl.

"Let's go to the salon first, before choosing our dresses for the wedding?" Mina suggested, after they bought clothes for Chaeyoung. "Then let's eat after."

"Sounds good." Chaeyoung nodded, while her eyes are busy wandering.

At the salon, Chaeyoung chose to cut her hair just right above her shoulders. Enough to remove the blonde hair that had grew out. While Mina just got her hair trimmed. When Chaeyoung got her haircut, every fiber on Mina's body betrayed her, making her not take her eyes off from the shorter girl.

"Does it look okay?" Chaeyoung asked shyly, when she approached the taller girl. She's afraid what Mina would answer because of the way the latter looks at her. It's not judging, more like.. She can't exactly say.

"It suits you." Mina smiled. "Let's go?"

When they arrived at the boutique, Mina already had her eyes fixed on one specific dress. The wedding's motif is white. And all the girls decided to wear something that is silk.

"Have you find a dress yet?" Mina asked Chaeyoung who's eyes are still wandering through the dresses.

A long sleeve dress caught her attention, however she don't think she can afford the price. She doesn't even know if she can afford anything. She feels embarrassed. Mina had bought her a lot already.

"This one is perfect." Mina said, showing the dress Chaeyoung had her eyes on. "Try it?"

Chaeyoung weighed her option even though she knows she got none, while looking at the dress on Mina's hands. Then her eyes met Mina's. "Please?" the taller girl pouted. "Just this one."

The shorter girl let out a small laugh, "Okay."

Mina excitedly clapped her hands together before giving Chaeyoung the dress. "I'll wait here." she informed smiling, when they arrived at the fitting area. "Just call me when you need help."

Chaeyoung entered the medium-sized fitting room. Two walls are covered with large mirrors, big enough to see herself clearly. She started to remove her clothes. She stared at the figure in front of her and hate every part of it. Every scars, regardless how small or big they are. No words can describe how much she hates it. How much she hates herself.

It seems like despite changing how she looks, she still have this darkness inside her. Hideous is what she feels about herself and it's suffocating her to the point she started gasping for air. She help herself settled on the couch inside the room. One hand holding the dress, one hand holding her chest as tears trailed through her cheeks.

Her trembling hands soon covered her mouth, the dress she was holding was now on the floor and she can't do anything but cry in silence.

Mina started to get worried when she didn't heard anything from Chaeyoung. She was about to knock when the latter showed herself and even though smiling hurts, Chaeyoung forced herself to smile so that Mina wouldn't worry.

"Eh? I didn't see it though." Mina pouted. She immediately regrets pouting when Chaeyoung let out a small laugh. "You're unfair."

"I didn't see yours either. I think we're equal." Chaeyoung giggled. "Lets go?"

Mina hummed in response, happy to see Chaeyoung giggle. Without her knowing, these were all act. Little did she know, Chaeyoung cried herself inside the fitting room forcing herself to stand up and put up the smile she showed Mina.

"Where do you want to eat?" Mina asked after paying for the dresses. "Chaeng." she called, seeing Chaeyoung staring blankly outside the boutique.

When the shorter girl looked at her, a frown was all Mina could do out of concern. This is the same eyes she saw when Chaeyoung broke up with her. Empty.

"Sorry." Chaeyoung muttered. She tried to put herself together and smiled weakly, "Can we just eat at home?"

Home. Mina felt something inside her, hearing the word. It's like the word is associated not with her house, but with this person smiling in front of her. Something she never fully felt for a long time. Maybe this is just the familiarity they have for each other that she feels.

She tried to shrug the mixed emotions she is feeling amd nodded as response to Chaeyoung.

"I'm sorry, I just got tired." Chaeyoung apologised on their way home. "It's been too long since I went to mall." she laughed nervously.

"Stop apologising." Mina blurted as her gaze shifted to Chaeyoung. She feels annoyed. Not because of the shorter girl. She's annoyed that Chaeyoung had to feel like she owes her every move an apology. "You've been saying it a lot this day and there's nothing you should apologise for."

"O-okay." Chaeyoung nodded. She never really realized how much she's been using the phrase. She just don't want to disappoint or make Mina mad.

"Okay." Mina smiled. She wants to assure Chaeyoung what she feels is valid and that she shouldn't be sorry for that. Her smile grew when the latter mirrored hers. "You can rest your head here." she added, patting her shoulder.

Chaeyoung did what she was told with no second thoughts. This is what she needs. Someone to hold onto. Someone to lean on when everything is heavy.

Another smile grew on Mina's lips while looking outside the taxi window. This is what she wants. For Chaeyoung to need her. Is it selfish? She don't care. She wants to be the one Chaeyoung would need during her hard times. Why? She's not sure. But she knows she's doing this because she still care for the latter. Nothing else.

She's doing all this not because she wants to get back with Chaeyoung. A lover is not what the shorter girl needs right now and Mina is aware of that. She's doing all this because Chaeyoung is her friend, her person before they became lovers and before everything in between got complicated.
