"Where are we going?" Chaeyoung asked as Jeongyeon put a blind fold on her eyes. "Unnie? I can't see!"
"That's the purpose of blind fold, dummy." Tzuyu savagely rebuts. "Can't believe you graduated at the top of your class with that brain of yours."
Yeah, Chaeyoung ended at the top of her class as she finished her college degree in Architecture with the help of her friends.
The years had been tough for her, but with Mina by her side, like the latter promised she would be, Chaeyoung was able to graduate, took the examination and became a registered Architect.
Meeting Soojin at that time in the café really changed her life. If it weren't for her cousin, she doesn't know if she'd be able to carry the guilt. She's not even sure if she would be able to carry on with her life if she haven't met Soojin that day.
Because of her cousin, Chaeyoung was able to remember that 'important' part of her memory Seulgi has been telling her about.
It's true that that part of her memory was pushed down so she can't remember it as it brings pain, guilt, suffering, fear and hatred. All those feelings that she have overcome, all thanks to her therapist who did not gave up on her.
She can still remember up to this day how Seulgi almost jumped on her seat when Chaeyoung told her about the night of the fire she remembered. She can still see how Seulgi's eyes glisten in tears the last day of their therapy.
Chaeyoung was able to move on with her life. She was able to be at peace with everything that happened, and that is because the people around her did not let her give up on herself.
"Yah! Tzuyu-ah!!! I'm still older than you" Chaeyoung protested.
"Doesn't feel like it with that height." Tzuyu mocked.
"When will you two ever stop bickering?" Nayeon interrupted, holding their 2 year old daughter in her arms. "Aish. You don't really grow up."
"Well we did grow up." Dahyun answered, "By we I mean Tzuyu and I. I'm just not sure with Chaeng."
"See? Dahyun agrees." Tzuyu said pointing at the pale girl.
"Love, stop teasing our architect." Sana said calmly, snaking her hands in Tzuyu's ling arm.
"Thanks, Sana." Chaeyoung breathed. "But seriously, where are we going? I'm getting dizzy."
"Will you stop complaining, smol?" Jeongyeon said. "We're almost there."
When they arrived the strong aroma of coffee engulfed Chaeyoung's nose. She knows this place way too much to not realize where they are. Jeongyeon and Nayeon's café. She worked here for the past years anyways. So it's easy for her to know.
"You can take your blind fold now." Momo enthusiastically state.
And as soon as Chaeyoung obliged, she halts in surprise as her friends greeted her. She looked around and saw tge whole place decorated. In front of her is a big tarpaulin with congratulations, Architect Son written largely on it. And Mina.
"Congrats, My love." Mina smiled at her warmly holding up a cake. Strawberry. Her favorite.
Chaeyoung blew the candle and her friends started to congratulate her for passing the exam one by one.
"Congrats, unnie." Yeji said, with Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryoung and Yuna behind her. "I hope you like this. We all saved up for that."
"Thank you, girls." Chaeyoung smiled widely as the girls hugged her at once.
The Seulgi and Irene came. "Hey, kid." Her therapist greeted. "Here. I know how much you love arts so I brought you this painting."
"She got it in an auction, saying you would love it." Irene added.
"I'm really proud of you, Chaeng." Seulgi pouted as sge tries not to tear up.
"Omo. Don't cryyy." Chaeyoung pulled her therapist unto her arms. "That's not good for pregnant woman."
But Seulgi ignored her and balled up. They both laugh after crying.
Soon, all her friends and even Soojin came to Chaeyoung. And just when the latter thought this was all just a celebration of her becoming an Architect, Mina gets everyone's attention.
"Oh God. She'll do it." Sana whispered to Jihyo. "Finally."
"Damn right she will." Jihyo laughed. "Her hands are shaking."
"Hi. Thank you for everyone who made this party possible." Mina started, hands still shaking as she looks at Chaeyoung. "Chaeng, I'm so proud of you. I know you've been hearing this words to me a lot, but saying it even thousands of time can't really compare at how I feel. You've been through a lot. We have been through a lot yet we're both here, together. Just like what we promised each other that time we danced in our kitchen, almost burning the pasta I'm cooking. Remember, you said we will reach our dreams together?"
Chaeyoung simply nods in response, no one seems to matter except the beauty she's seeing in front of her.
"You've reached your dream. Your an Architect now. And I'm so so happy for you. I know all of us here is. But Chaeng, I want to reach my dream too." Mina continued. Her eyes are glistening from tears threatening to fall. "Son Chaeyoung, you are my dream. You have always been. Always, Chaeng. My dream is to wake up with you every day for the rest of my life. My dream is to be the person who could make you laugh in times you don't feel like it. My dream is to be the shoulder you cry on every time you're sad. My dream is to be the person you first share new music and TV series or movies you just discover. I promised you that I will help you reach your dream and I did. Now, Chaeng, can you help me achieve mine?"
Mina started to walk closer to Chaeyoung who's still starung right into her eyes as she pulled out a ring. " You are my dream, Son Chaeyoung. Please help me achieve it. Will you marry me?"
Chaeyoung can't believe everything that's happening. Like it's a scene from a movie. She smiled at Mina foolishly, crying. No. Her dream was not to be an Architect. No that's not it.
"Seems like we have the same dream, after all." Chaeyoung then lifted a ring from her pocket and pulled it up. "I will marry, if you Myoui Mina, marry me too."
Mina can't hold her laugh as tears bagan to fall from her eyes. "I do, Chaeng. I will marry you."
"Then I do too." Chaeyoung smiled. "I will marry you, Minari. I can marry right now."
Mina nodded and pulled Chaeyoung in an intimate kiss. Lips crashing gently, expressing all the words they failed to speak. Mostly all the love they have for each other.
"I love you, Son Chaeyoung." Mina said sweetly, pulling away gently.
"I love you too, Myoui Mina." Chaeyoung replied. "Always have been.
I will love you for always and forever."
