SIX

The second Lisa realised Jennie had fled, she ran out into the street to see if she could check which way she had gone, but it was dark and she saw no one. She went back into the house and grabbed her phone. It was open on the text messages she had sent Rosie, where she had texted the address of where Jin was being held.

Since the mission is top secret, Lisa can't exactly call the local police, so she dials Jisoo instead. Except she doesn't answer, not the first, second, or fifth time. Lisa has no choice but to call a taxi and drive to her apartment.

She takes the elevator up, legs bouncing in anticipation. Once again, she'd had the target in arms reach, and once again, she'd let her slip right through her fingers. She was furious with herself, but now wasn't the time.

Hammering on Jisoo's door, Lisa has little care for neighbours that might be asleep, especially when Jisoo's taking so long to answer. She hears the lock before the door swings open.

"Finally! Why aren't you answering your-- Rosie?" Every important message Lisa needs to deliver ceases in her head the second she comes face to face with her co-worker.

"Lisa! I'm just here... working!" Rosie stammers.

Lisa cocks her head and raises her eyebrows. "In a robe? Without any socks?"

"What do my socks have anything to do with this?"

"Please. We all know what no socks means."

"Who is it?" Lisa hears Jisoo call from inside.

"It's Lisa!" Rosie calls back.

Lisa shakes the sense back into her head. "Look, it doesn't matter. I need to talk to Jisoo. Now."

Rosie holds the door open and steps aside to let Lisa in. They both go into the apartment and wait for Jisoo in the living room, where Rosie promptly puts some socks on.

Jisoo appears two minutes later, her hair dishevelled and similarly, wearing no socks. Lisa looks at the bare feet and grins. Rosie notices and her face turns red. Jisoo, ignorant to her co-worker's behaviour, takes a seat.

"What is it, Lisa? Did something happen?" She asks hurriedly.

"Yes. Ruby-Jane broke into my house."

Rosie gasps and Jisoo's face flashes concern.

"Are you okay? What did she want?"

"I'm fine. We got into a little scuffle. She bested me," Lisa admits. "She held me at knifepoint and got Jin's address from my phone."

Jisoo gave Rosie a knowing look, who immediately got up to make some phone calls.

"The place is heavy with security; she shouldn't get past. But we'll send a KNP team just in case. Did anything else happen?"

Lisa recalled her little scene with Jennie. How Jennie had bent her over and ran her hands all over her body. How Lisa had let her do that because she had been too overcome with lust to stop her. Because she didn't want to stop her. She could still feel the evidence of her arousal that had dried and was now sticky between her legs.

Rubbing her thighs together, she looks her boss in the face and lies. "No. She was in and out of there pretty quick."

"It's scary how easily she could get to you, Lisa. Didn't I recommend you stay in a hotel, or at least get some security?"

"All due respect, she's not going to drive me out of my home. And I think security would be pretty useless in stopping her from getting what she wants. She didn't kill me. She could have by now. She's known for a while where I live."
