A/N- This is going to be the last oneshot in this collection. This collection was so much fun to write, and soon I'll be writing one for the female characters from Genshin Impact and female characters from another show. Thanks for reading this book all the way through! You all are awesome, and I love you all so much! You're the greatest!
YOUR HUSBAND DAINSLEIF was called emotionless by many. He didn't show his emotions in public to many people, but when he was alone with you, he showed his true colors.
It hurt him to be called emotionless, and other nicknames such as robot and still face. He really was a very sweet man, and he hid all his emotions inside so that nobody could see them. In Khaenri'ah, where he lived before it was destroyed, showing emotions would get you killed. And as a guard of the city, he couldn't deserve to show any weakness whatsoever, so he became completely stoic and hid everything inside- his happiness, his sadness... his everything.
But after his homeland was destroyed and he married you, a pharmacist from Sumeru, he began to show his emotions more and more to you. In fact, you would call him a completely emotional mess at some times. You didn't understand why people made fun of people that were different. Why couldn't they just shut their mouths?
One night, you were cooking dinner and Dain was out and about in town. You heard a loud knock on the door, and went to answer it, curious about who would be calling on you in this late hour.
You were shocked to see Dainsleif standing there, his eyes blackened and blood flowing from his mouth and nose. When he saw you, he threw his arms around you and held on tightly. His breaths were trembling, and he was sobbing without tears.
You gently led your injured husband over to the kitchen, where you sat him down in a chair and washed his face. You noticed that he had limped when he walked by your side, so you looked at his ankle. When you felt it to check if there was a break, he screamed loudly. You hummed softly to him to calm him down, and felt around his ankle and foot. You felt a space in between two bones that shouldn't be there, and one bone was fractured in multiple places.
"How did you even manage to walk here, Dain? Your ankle bone is fractured, and there's a gap between two of them that were pushed away. You should be lying on the ground sobbing in pain and unable to move your leg, not walking all around the place! For shame!" you chided him.
"Don't yell... please..."
Dainsleif's voice was soft and weak. You had hurt him with your words, and he was doubtlessly confused and hurt at the fact that someone could hate him enough to hurt him this seriously.
"I'm sorry, love. I shouldn't have snapped at you," you apologized.
"No, it's not your fault. It's the fault of the person who hurt me. I'm sorry I'm alive. I'm such a hassle for you to take care of. Everyday I come back home injured in some way, I'm a crybaby, I-"
You pressed your lips to his, silencing his self-hate. He gasped when your lips first touched his, and then he started to sob for real. You held him tightly in your arms and whispered, "You're beautiful, Dain. I'm so glad I married you. Don't say cruel things about yourself. Your life matters."
"Thank you," he said, burying his head in your chest. "Thank you so much, my love."
