✧ Wen Ning- Kidnapped (Part 2/Final Part) ✧

IT HAD BEEN a long journey to reach his home, but Wen Ning had embarked on it with joy and courage, excited to see his sister once again. The journey was arduous, crossing many mountains and rivers, but any barrier could be overcome if one fought hard enough.

And Wen Ning fought. He fought fiercely, in a way he'd never fought in his life before now. All the monsters that attacked him swiftly were just as swiftly dispatched by the golden arrows of the bow Yu Su had gifted him. The young lady clearly had experience picking out good weapons.

After fighting many enemies and walking for many days, he finally saw the mountains of Gusu in the distance. Cloud Recesses was in reach! Seeing the mountains made him run all the faster towards his goal, and in a day, he had reached the mountains. Now all he had to do is climb.

Climbing turned out to be more arduous than he originally thought it would be, though. He was weak, and mountains were strong. Seriously, seriously strong. It took him another whole day to climb the mountains that Cloud Recesses resided in, and by the time he reached the gates of the residence, his legs were burning with pain. But he had to continue, he had to meet his sister again! She was probably so worried about him.

After practically fighting the guards of the gates to enter Cloud Recesses, Wen Ning was faced with the daunting task of searching for his sister among the many cottages of the widespread Gusu Lan sect. It would take some time, and Ning was very impatient to see his sister again, so he went to the leader of the Lan clan, Lan Xichen, to help him.

Surprisingly, when he went to the clan leader's residence to see him, his sister was there too, asking Xichen for help finding her younger brother. When her little brother appeared in front of her, she was so emotional she burst into sobs and threw her arms around him, holding him tightly and sobbing into his shoulder.

"J-jie, don't c-cry! I-I'm b-back! Don't cry!" he said, embracing her and holding her close.

Xichen laughed and commented, "Your brother seems to have found you, Lady Wen. You don't need my help anymore."

Still holding on to her brother, Wen Qing headed back to her cottage where she lived with him. When Ning saw his bed, he collapsed down on it and fell straight asleep, exhausted from all the hiking he'd done.

And when he woke up, his sister was right next to him.
