I'm not even sure what we're going to ask her. To ask her to tell my parents I'm doing cheerleading under her? Okay that's confusing.
To be honest I'm skeptical and who wouldn't be....?
I mean, what kind of self respecting teacher would lie to a child's parent saying they were attending her class when they really weren't? That's right, no one.

Sarah somehow managed to drag me there despite my protests. And let me tell you, that girl is strong!
I go up to her and say, "Hello Miss.Angela"
She turns towards me, "Ah Ava, hello dear!" I scrunch my eyebrows
"How do you know my name?" I ask her, confused.
"Well, almost all the teachers know you Ava, apparently you're the only girl on the soccer team..." she says with a smile, "and I've heard you're good"
My face heats up at the compliment. "Thanks". Sarah nudges me from behind. Right, I have to ask her.....
I try delaying it and introduce Sarah, "oh and this is my friend Sarah" I say acting as if this were what Sarah meant. She gives me a look that says, "really?"
I shrug sheepishly.
"Hi Miss. Angela" She says, "actually we're here cause my friend has something to ask you..."
"Oh really?" Miss. Angela says, "go on". I shoot a glare at Sarah and she smirks. She is so infuriating some times.
I take deep breadth and tell her the entire story. She keeps nodding at the right places and gives me sad smiles.
"Seems like you have pretty conservative parents Ava" she says understandingly and I become hopeful,
"but I'm afraid there is nothing I can do for you" my heart plummets to the floor.
"Bu-but can't you just tell my parents I'm working with you if they ask?" I ask her desperately

"That's the problem, if your coach and I, assuming you've told him of course, are the only people who know, there are way to many complications and chances for that to go wrong. People will see you playing soccer, but you need them to think you are doing cheerleading. That Mark boy you told me about can become a problem again." I nod trying not to let disappointment show on my face.
Apparently I didn't do a good job in doing that, because the next thing I know, Sarah is thanking her and we're walking back more like Sarah's walking while she pulls me, again.
We get out and she engulfs me in a hug. She doesn't say anything but that's exactly what I need right now.

I call mom, "hey mom" I say into the phone
"Hey Ava, what happened?" She asks.
"Nothing, just asking whether I can go to a friends house. They say they I can have food there." I say, hoping she'll say yes.
"Sure, whose house are you going to." She asks. I hear Lucas crying in the background.
"Um Kate-ie" I say, hating myself for lying. Though, it's become a common occurrence by now.
"Okay! Have fun, bye!" She says.
"Bye mom" I say. "Let's go" I say to Sarah who was not to secretly glaring at Mark playing on the field. I'd told coach about how I wouldn't be coming for a few days due to some 'health issues' he looked suspicious but didn't say anything.

We make way to her house where we met up with Cody and Kate.
"Hey, how did it go with Miss. Angela?" Kate asks.
We tell them and they both look at me with sympathy. "Don't look at me like that okay?" I say looking away.
"Sorry" they mutter.
We eat our lunch and thank Sarah's mom. "Hey guys, wanna go to the skate park today?" She asks
"Why not" Cody says and we make our way to the skate park. I try skate boarding for a while, (emphasis on 'try') to take my mind off things.
I don't think I'll ever be able to play soccer again unless I convince my parents otherwise. I stop in my tracks. That's what I need to do. I need show my parents how girls and boys aren't only meant for 'certain things' according to their gender.....
Suddenly, I bump into someone and fall down backwards. I'd like to say that there was grass that thankfully cushioned my fall but nope, it was hard cement, just my luck huh? I look up and see brown eyes and black hair. "Pranav?" I ask but he's too busy rubbing his head.
I pick myself up and wave a hand in front of his face. "Pranav to earth?" I say. He looks up. "Ava?" He says confused, "Ava! Nice meeting you here." He says with a grin. I smile, "I could say the same for you, you skate?" I ask him casually.
"Eh, occasionally, what about you?" He asks
"Yeah I come here sometimes with my friends" I point to where Sarah and Cody were trying to stop Kate from falling, "but I absolutely suck at this" I say with a chuckle.
"I doubt that's true, nice hair by the way" he says with a smile, "also, what happened to coming over and beating me huh?" He says with a smirk.
"Oh you are so on!" I say back, "Saturday your house at 5?" I ask.
"Sounds good, see ya then" he replies with a wink, "Get ready to lose" and walks back. I roll my eyes.
I skate over to them somehow managing to get there in one piece, "Hey guys I better get back home, see you tomorrow at school"
"Okay! See ya!" Sarah says.
"Bye!" Kate and Cody say.
"Bye guys" I say. I quickly type a message to Cody
At my house for the next song day after tomorrow, sound good? ~A
I hear his phone ding and see his smile widen on reading the message.
Sure thing~C
I wave at them one last time and think of ways I can convince my parents.......

Hoped you enjoyed! That's all for now! The star on top would mean the world to me, thanks!

*tries to skate but does a face plant in the dirt*
