13 - Wish

Time passed like a whirlwind. We celebrated Reizo's birthday with his family. We attended the Annual Gala of the Saavedras with his family and mine. We went to New York to celebrate Christmas with my family and went back home to welcome New Year with his.

Pauwi kami ni Reizo papunta sa penthouse niya. I felt him stealing glances at me while driving.

"Baby..." He called me again for the nth time, but I stood firm with my decision not to talk to him.

I am pissed and upset and jealous! I just saw how his colleague, that girl Engineer hugged him in front of me.

I get that they saw each other years after graduating from New York, but my mind was too focused that she really hugged him. That took long, and she really dared to do it in front of me! Me! Reizo's girlfriend.

I knew her because she's Winnova's cousin. Noon kasing nalaman ko lahat ng kamag-anak nila Winnova, nakita ko siya sa picture. She's familiar since she's Reizo's colleague back then. And it's making me frustrated that she's here now. For good! Because she'll be working at SVD, particularly under Reizo's company.

Bumaba ako ng sasakyan nang mabilisan. Pati si Kier na nakatayo sa gilid na walang ginagawa ay sinungitan ko pati na si Rex.

As soon as we entered his penthouse, he caught my elbow and faced me to him.

"Hey, baby... That was nothing, okay. Nariya is just a colleague. You saw how I didn't return her hug because I was surprised by what she did, and it's too—" While explaining, he's showering me with feathery kisses.

Lumayo ako sa kanya nang marinig ang sinabi niya na nagpatigil ng pagsasalita niya. I saw how his head fell when he tried to kiss me again which I didn't allow.

"So, you're telling me that if you didn't get surprised, you would also hug her back?!" I hissed. His eyes widened, and he shook his head immediately.

"No. That's not what I meant. You didn't let me finish..." Mababa niyang sabi habang hinawakan niya ang mukha ko para ilapit sa kanya.

"You're always jumping into conclusions, baby..." Mahinahon niya pa ring dagdag.

"Bakit hindi ba?" Matapang kong sagot sa kanya.

"I was about to say that... It was too late for me to step back since she really caught me off guard... That was what I am about to say earlier if you didn't cut me." Paliwanag niya pero mainit pa rin ang ulo ko.

"So, kasalanan ko pa ha, Reizo?" I fired back. He shook his head instantly.

Tumahimik ako at pinaglaruan ang mga daliri ko na nakapatong sa hita ko. He held them and intertwined my right hand with his left. Ang kanang kamay niya naman ay nakapatong ngayon sa itaas ng hita ko.

"Love... talk to me. Meet me halfway, please." I rolled my eyes because I was well aware that my anger was slowly melting. Ugh, Kaela! You are so marupok!
