Chapter Twenty-Four

24 - First

Dumaan nang mabilis ang mga araw. I texted Reizo last night, inviting him to go to watch a movie with me. I am looking forward to this day since he agreed.

I wore a satin black midi skirt and a white sleeveless basic crop top. I used my black sling bag and used my sneakers. Suot ko rin ang singsing at bracelet na bigay ni Reizo.

"Take care. Message me for updates." It was Mischa. Hinatid niya ako sa mall ngayon para dito na kami magkita ni Reizo.

"Yes, I will. I'll enjoy our date later." Sagot ko sa kanya.

Tumango siya sa akin at hindi na nagsalita tungkol doon. "Gotta go. Update me." Paalala niya ulit at tinanguan ko.

"Drive safely, Mischa. Love you!" I waved at her before she went on her way after dropping me off here.

Hindi ko na nakakasama si Rex sa mga labas ko dahil hindi na siya pumupunta sa mansyon para magbantay. Mischa also noticed it but I told her that he's really needed that's why he can't tend to us anymore.

Sabi ko kay Mischa na hindi na rin namin kailangan ng bagong bantay dahil highly secured naman ang private subdivision namin. There are also guards at the entrance of this wide subdivision.

I decided to wait here on the stalls near the moviehouse. May mga thirty minutes pa naman bago magsimula ang move. I already purchased two tickets para diretso na kami mamaya sa loob pagkarating ni Reizo.

While waiting, I scribbled on my phone. I noticed that my old friends also unfollowed my accounts. Wala na rin akong nagawa doon. I saw their posts together, and something in me felt hurt because of that.

Siguro dahil na rin nakasama ko sila nang matagal at ang bilis lang nilang tinapon ang pinagsamahan namin dahil lang sa mga inakala nila.

And Ceres... I never knew that she really liked Reizo a lot. Kahit naman malaman ko 'yon habang magkaibigan kami ay hind naman mag-iiba ang tingin ko sa kanya. It's normal and I don't have the right to stop her feelings because that wasn't mine in the first place.

But one thing I wouldn't take was she used Kenza and Winnova's hate feelings against me and used it to destroy my image to Reizo. Hindi ko alam na nakaya nila akong gawan ng masama dahil lang sa galit nila sa akin.

I looked at my phone and it's almost time for the movie to start but Reizo's not still here. Ayaw ko naman siyang i-message dahil baka makulitan siya sa akin at hindi na tumuloy.

Kahit labag sa loob ko ay napansin ko na lang ang sarili kong pumapasok sa movie house. I'm still looking behind me, hoping that he'll show up but soon as I went inside, pero walang Reizo na nagpakita.

I was too oblivious to the story of the movie since my mind was wandering where is Reizo. Mga nasa thirty minutes na siguro ako sa loob at nagsisimula na pero hindi pa rin siya nandito.

My phone beeped, and I immediately opened it until I saw that it was from Reizo.

I bit my lip hard to refrain from sobbing even though I felt the tears streaming down my face because of the message I received.

Reizo Aillard:

I'm sorry. I got stuck in a meeting earlier. Are you at the mall now?

I wiped my tears harshly but it keeps on coming. Mabuti na lang at madilim dito at nasa gilid ako kaya walang makakakita sa akin na umiiyak.

My hands were shaking as I held my phone to type my reply.

Me:

No, I decided to stay at home. I forgot that we have a long quiz tomorrow that's why I need to study. Rest ka na lang, love. I love you.
