Chapter Thirty-Six

36 - Perfect

I woke up inside my room with an extreme hangover. Nakita mong nakapalit na ako at napansin ang tubig at gamot sa may bedside table ko. Nandoon din ang breakfast ko na nasa paperbag pa.

I reached for the note and the rose. Unconsciously, I smelled the flower before reading the note.

Good morning, love. I ordered your favorite. Eat this and take your medicine after for your hangover. I have to work for now. I'll see you later. I love you. - Reizo.

A smile crept on my lips as I read his note. Binalingan ko ang lamesa at pinagmasdan ang hinanda niya para sa akin.

My eyes went to my door when I heard someone knocked lightly. Nakita ko ang maingat pagsilip ni Mischa. Mukhang akala niya ay tulog pa ako.

She smiled at me when she caught me up now. "Good morning, princess. Your knight went here early in the morning just to prepare that." Turo niya sa nakalatag sa lamesa ko.

"Anong oras siya umuwi kagabi?"

"Hindi ko na napansin. Reizo stayed pa after I went home." Mischa answered.

I smirked at her. "Mukhang bati na kayo." I giggled.

Se shrugged. "Secret." And then she winked at me before walking towards my bed.

Umupo siya sa tabi ko. "Hangover?"

Tumango ako sa kanya. "Sabi nga ni Reizo, agad ka raw nakatulog kagabi."

"I didn't know. Ang huli kong naalala ay may sinasabi siya sa akin pero hindi ko na rin matandaan." Sabi ko kay Mischa.

"Sayang." She uttered, which made my brow knotted in confusion.

"Why?"

"Malay mo may sinabing importante tapos hindi mo narinig. Ikaw din." Halakhak niya.

"And what would that be?" I asked.

"I don't know. Maybe things that he felt? Or things that he really wanted to tell you for the time you were gone?"

Nilingon ko siya mula sa pagkakatitig sa hawak kong note at rosas na bigay ni Reizo. "Do you think we can still fix this? That we can start over again?" Halos bulong kong tanong.

I didn't know why I asked it as a whisper, maybe because I was still having doubts about those questions.

"I'm not the one who can answer that question, Kaela. Not me. Especially, not Reizo, who we all know that he really wanted for the both of you to get back together." She held my hand. "You're the only one who can answer that, Kaela. Hindi sa paraang napipilitan ka kundi sa paraang magaan at walang pag-aalinlangan."

Nagpaalam si Mischa sa akin. She has work that's why. Natulog naman ako ulit pagkatapos kong kumain at nagising sa tawag.

Kuya Knoa called me at lunch asking me if I can visit the company. At dahil umayos naman na ako ay sinabi ko sa kanyang pupunta ako.

I wore a black tube and skirt and an oversized nude coat. I grabbed my bag and put my things there before going out.

Pinatunog ko ang key fob ng sasakyan. As soon as I went inside my car, I maneuvered the car towards our gate. Nakita si Manong William doon na nagbukas at nagpaalam ako sa kanya.

As soon as I entered CAZ, the employees greeted me with full smiles and a warm welcome.

Ngumiti ako sa kanila at hinatid naman ako ni Ate Grace papunta sa floor kung saan ang opisina ni Kuya Knoa.

"Hi, Kuya!" I saw him look to the door and gesture me to wait as he was busy speaking to someone on the phone.

"Yes. Please. I need the details later." I saw him close his eyes tightly and heaved a sigh while listening on the other line.
