Chapter Nineteen

19 - Understand

Two days before Reizo's flight, I stayed with him in his penthouse.

I woke up and wore his oversized shirt. I reached the fiction book on his bedside table and started to read while waiting for Reizo to wake up.

After a few minutes, I saw him wake up, and his eyes flew in my direction. I watched his eyes traveled on my face down to the shirt that I was wearing.

"What?" I asked when I noticed his long stares at me.

He smirked. "Nothing... I was just looking at you." He moved closer, and my breath hitched when I felt his big hand began caressing my legs.

"What are you doing, Reizo?" My voice became raspy due to the sensation I was feeling.

"Nothing." He innocently replied, but his eyes looked darker, and he smirked at me wickedly.

"I can't read properly, Reizo!" I concealed my heavy breathings with my annoyed face. But it was unsuccessful since I know that Reizo knows me better.

"Hmm... then don't read now, baby. Give me your attention and stay away from that book for now." He whispered against my ear and placed a chaste kiss under my ear that made me gasped.

Hindi ko na napansin na hinawakan na niya ang libro at basta na lang tinapon sa kung saan.

Before I could lash out at him, he held my waist and placed me on top of his to distract me. A few seconds after, he moved and put me on the bed, and now, he's on top of me.

I heard his phone rang, but he continued and was busy showering kisses on my neck.

"Love, your phone..."

"Later. I am busy." His husky voice resonated inside his big bedroom.

Ilang ulit pa ang pagtunog ng iPhone niya pero hindi niya kinuha at nagpatuloy siyang humalik sa akin hanggang sa tumigil na lang ang pagtunog na mas kinasaya ni Reizo.

Kinaumagahan ay dumating si Ridge sa penthouse para samahan ako na ihatid si Reizo sa airport.

Rex drove us to the airport. Kasama ko si Reizo, Rex at Kier sa isang sasakyan. Kier will also accompany Reizo abroad. Si Ridge naman ay nagmaneho gamit ang sasakyan niya.

I was beside Ridge while waiting for Reizo's flight. Si Reizo naman nakatayo at kausap si Kier at Rex, kaya binalingan ko si Ridge.

"You knew about this." I pouted. I saw Ridge looked up from scrolling on his phone.

He heaved a sigh and nodded. "Yeah. A week ago."

"You should've told me sooner! You're my best friend!" Medyo malakas na sabi ko.

I saw Reizo stopped talking to his bodyguards and looked at me. I shook my head at him and glanced at Ridge again.

He sighed. "I know my place, Kaeline. Kuya's your boyfriend, and it's not my right to meddle about this in between the two of you. I respected his decision." Paliwang niya.

"I'm sorry..." He messed my hair and held me closer to him.

"It's okay. Nothing's your fault." Ridge told me.

Tinignan ko nang mabuti si Ridge. He's graduating this academic year. At alam kong aalis din siya dahil kailangan.

"I'm thinking... you'll also leave soon. You'll take your Masters abroad next year." Mahina kong sabi sa kanya.

"It's needed. But while I am here and Kuya's gone, I'll be with you."

Lumiwanag naman ang mga mata ko sa sinabi niya.
