35 - Best

I silently cried on his shoulders, and he was caging me inside his arms and continued to caress my hair and kiss the top of my head.

I could feel his heavy breathing and hear his low voice whispering words to calm me down. It was too nostalgic. It was giving me too many overwhelming emotions...

And I would be lying if I'd say I didn't miss it... if I didn't miss him. The feeling that he was giving me felt so familiar, and at the same time... the feeling of regret was still evident.

But despite feeling his arms around me right now, it doesn't change the fact that it is still not fine. Things were still messy where we left, and I didn't want to decide just because I missed him.

Nang tumahan ako ay nagawa kong umatras at kumawala sa mahigpit niyang yakap na agad niya namang binigay. "Uuwi na ako." Nakatungo kong sabi.

I heard him sigh. "Okay..." He replied and led me towards our table.

Hindi ko pinansin ang pagmasid niya sa akin at dumiretso lang ako sa lamesa namin kung saan nandoon si Sebastian, Dashiel at Aleskia. Void was nowhere to be found while Aisaak and Ellary still enjoying on the dancefloor.

"I'll go now..." Paalam ko sa kanila.

I saw Sebastian tap Reizo's back before he smiled and nodded at me.

"Let's go out sometime?" Tanong ni Aleskia sa akin. "I heard from Solandis that you also got close to Link Wilder." Sambit ni Aleskia.

"Babe!"

"Cecily!"

Natatawang suway ni Dashiel at nakangising tawag ni Sebastian sa pinsan sa sinambit ni Aleskia. She looked bewildered with their calls but later on her eyes widened.

"Sorry..." Mababang sabi niya na nakatingin sa akin o sa tao na nasa gilid ko na si Reizo.

After that, I went to Creia and Thorne in front. Hindi ko namalayan na sumunod pala si Reizo sa akin nang marinig ang boses niyang nagpapaalam din kanila Thorne.

"You can stay here. I can manage." Sabi ko nang sumabay siya sa akin palabas papunta sa elevator.

"I... I need to go home too. I have to do something." Malambing niyang sabi sabay sakay sa elevator.

Walang nagsalita sa amin sa loob ng elevator. My eyes were looking at the steels doors, but I could still sense the intent stares of the person behind my back.

Nang tumunog ay kulang na lang bumuga ako ng hangin dahil sa pagpipigil ko kaninang gumawa ng kahit anong ingay sa loob. Seconds later, my phone rang and I saw Mischa's calling.

Tumingin si Reizo sa akin pero hindi ko na binalingan at agad ko nang sinagot ang tawag ni Mischa.

"Hello. Are you here already?" Bungad ko.

"Yes. I'm at the entrance. Where are you?" Sagot niya sa akin.

Nagpatuloy akong lumakad palabas ng hotel at naramdaman ko pa ring tahimik na sumusunod si Reizo sa akin.

"Palabas na."

"Fine. I'll wait here in front then. Wala pa namang sasakyan." She uttered on the other line.

"Sure. Malapit naman na ako sa entrance." Paalala ko.

"Okay..." I heard how her words faded as soon as she saw me. Her eyes widened, but the taunting smile on her lips was visible as she repeatedly moved her eyes from me to Reizo.

Binaba ko na ang tawag at narinig si Reizo. "Mischa." He acknowledged her.

"Reizo." Balik niya at tinanguan si Reizo.
