My eyes snapped open as I felt sparks surging through me as my rejected mates scent filled my lungs, no, how can this be happening? My eyes looked up as I saw a massive silver wolf laying on top of me protectively. I began to squirm as I filled with panic because I rejected him because of what he has done to me, choosing someone else over me.
"Drake!" I called out panicked.
"I am here love; he won't let anyone near you...not even me." He replied.
As I began to squirm more, he lowered his body more to hold me in place beneath him. I can't figure out why he is doing this, he wants her over me so why isn't he with her?
"Kade get off of me!" I cried out.
He growled resting his large head over my shoulder into the crook of my neck where his mark laid. He didn't put to much weight on me since he was resting on his elbows, but the weight of his head was enough to pin me to the ground. I unblocked our mate link to yell at him and so he could answer me.
"Mine." He grumbled out through the link.
"Kade get off of me." I whined out.
"Claire, I am sorry I felt trapped. I didn't know what to do...I do now. I am never letting you go! I made a mistake, and I can't tell you how sorry I am for that, but you are my true mate. I love you, Claire." He said sadly through the link.
The feeling of his fur and his warmth along with the electric shocks flowing through me had me almost begging for him to shift because I wanted him. My core heated but I knew I needed to control myself and I am not ready for anything with him after what he has done, he chose her over me.
"I want to know one thing and I expect you to be honest or I swear I will push you out of this plane regardless how high we are...even if it kills me too." I spat.
"Ask baby...ask me anything." He replied.
"If you wanted me, why were you holding her like you did me, kissing her like you do me? I could see the love you had for her, and it breaks my heart to know you were loving her and throwing me away for her?" I sobbed out through the link.
He let out a low growl vibrate through him as it coursed through me as well putting all my senses on edge as the pull to him increased, our bond growing more. I whined out knowing what was happening and I don't want it.
"Her parents and my parents had set up this arranged mating when we were just pups, her parents have others watching and following us everywhere to see if I am fulfilling my end of the agreement. So yes, I had seen one of them watching us, so I acted as if I wanted her and loved her when she kissed me. If you saw when I saw you, I pushed her away from me, you are my everything baby.... her and her family are as good as dead. He growled out. Please forgive me mate." He sobbed as I felt his tears trickle down my neck.
My heart broke, I rolled over, so I was face up under him as his fur tickled my exposed skin, I rubbed my face against his neck wrapping my arms around him desperately.
"Did you ever have sex with her?" I asked him through the link.
"No, you were my first baby. That is the truth, you just bring the beast in me out." He laughed out as I still felt his tears dripping onto me.
"Shift." I told him.
He shifted instantaneously at my request as he sat up, I straddled his lap wrapping myself around him as I totally broke down against his neck. He wrapped his arms around me protectively.
"I love you baby...you're my one and only. I just put a show on with her and it broke my heart having to touch or kiss her for others. She couldn't handle the real me on her best day which she never had. Yet you thrive on it, crave it as much as I do." He spoke.
He spun us facing the corner near the doorway of the plane behind the wall, so others were not looking on. He kissed me feverishly as I felt myself burning within for me.
"When everything went dark, I saw us...our family. I saw our son Xavier and you and Drake in an office together...I woke up just before you were both about to take me." I grumbled out at the last part.
"You saw... Our son?" He asked.
"Yes, our son, his name was Xavier he was three years old at the time." I told him.
"You're giving me a son...I love you baby." He trembled out as tears streamed down his cheeks.
"He had blond hair and sapphire blue eyes with a chubby little face, cute as a button. Along with being protective of me." I told him.
He squeezed me tighter to him as he pulled a way a little bit as he looked to my eyes as to ask if he could touch my stomach. I nodded as he caressed his hand over it gently as he realized our child was in there.
"Oh by the way love...you told him you would push him out of the plane at any height well I don't think five feet will hurt him, we never took off." He laughed out.
I felt like I wanted to smack myself because I never even wondered why there was no movement or sound during all of this. I laughed out feeling like a total idiot.
"Thanks for proving what an idiot your mate is." I said bluntly.
Kade growled as his eyes bore into mine.
"You are not an idiot mate!" He growled lowly.
I sighed, then I realized something.... when he calls me mate it isn't him... it's his wolf!
