True Mates Never Die

The phone went abruptly dead as I knew he understood everything. He was coming for his mate, and he was furious by the sounds of it. His growl held more than longing, devotion but a sheer need to possess what was his, my mates' mother. She has suffered for so many years at an Alpha who was not her true mate and now it comes to an end! 

Of course, my mind began running wild with things we could do to take the Alpha's life a bit harsher and one of them is showing his mother with her true mate to his father. A malevolent laugh escaped from my lips as both my mates' heads spun to look at me raising their eyebrows.

"What are you up to little mate?" Kade asked me with a grin.

"Oh, show your father what true mates look like!" As my grin spread wide on my face.

I heard Drake gasp as his eyes lit up with pure deviousness. I knew this was going to be more fun than I had expected. I ran out of the office towards the living room seeing his mother still sitting in the same place as she twisted the hem of her shirt between her fingers.

"Come on we need to get you dolled up!" I squealed excitedly.

She looked at me with an expression of shock as if she was asking many unspoken questions that I am not about to spill the beans on. I pulled her up as we went up the stairs. She took a shower as I pulled out some clothes from her closet. After she dried and dressed, I did her hair and makeup knowing we most likely were running out of time considering how the Alpha replied to my mate. 

Once completed she looked absolutely amazing. Her soft pale skin and bright eyes were beginning to fill with excitement and longing. I can't wait to see how this goes! As we reached downstairs there was a call that was ringing into the office. I ran in but stopped seeing Drake sitting there.

He picked up the phone expecting to hear a report or something when his eyes widened in surprise. I listened closer and was amazed.

"There is an Alpha at the gate stating if we do not let him in, he will kill everyone between him and his mate!" Cory trembled out through the line.

"Let him in! Send him to the Alpha house." He instructed.

"Yes, Alpha!" He chimed through the phone as faint yelling could be heard in the background.

He apparently really hadn't forgotten about his mate; this Alpha is on a mission! The boarder is two miles from the town, and I gasped when I heard a car screeching to a halt out front of the house. I walked out to see Drake's mother sitting on the couch unsure of what was happening when I smiled at her. I wiggled my eyebrows at her as her mouth gaped open in surprise. Suddenly there was pounding on the door as my smile grew realizing this Alpha wanted his mate at all costs.

I walked towards the door as it was thrown open knocking me backwards hitting the floor. I gasped as I hit the ground as my mates came running.

"What is the meaning of this?" Drake growled out viciously.

"I want my mate NOW!" He growled.

"First off you just knocked my pregnant mate to the ground! Secondly, I am the one who contacted you, if I had intentions of keeping you from her ...you wouldn't be here!" Drake growled out as Kade stalked into the room.

Kade had shifted into his Lycan at hearing me hit the ground, he grew closer as his hackles were standing outright as his gaze was locked squarely at the Alpha standing in the doorway.

"I am sincerely sorry, but I have been kept from my mate all these years!" He snarled but his terrified gaze gave it away.

"That does not mean you bust into this house harming ours!" Drake growled.

"Ours?" Farris trembled out.

"She is my mate and Drake's mate!" Kade snarled out through his massive teeth as drool trickled drown from his jaw in anticipation.

Farris turned pale as his eyes were locked with Kade's massive form standing over me. He honestly was ready to strike out at Farris.

"Kade?" I called out to him in a whimper.

His eyes shot to mine as I looked above me. A deep growl tore through his teeth as he reached down scooping me up into his massive arms. Pulling me tight to his body as his scent washed over me calming me.

"L...Lycan's?" He stammered out.

"Indeed!" Drake replied.

The male looked as if he were about to pass out at that news, but he held his ground as his eyes began darting around in search of his mate.

"Before you go charging towards her, you better sit your ass down because we will be having a talk first!" Drake growled low.

Farris nodded his head in understanding. He realized if we were Lycan's he stood no chance of going against us if we wished his death. Drake pointed to the living room where his mother was sitting as nervousness surged through her. 

As he entered the sitting room his eyes locked with his mates. He began to go to her as a malevolent growl ripped from Drake in warning. Farris took a step back as his mother looked confused for a moment as he took a seat in the chair across from the couch as his eyes never left hers.

"Oh no, is Claire alright?" She called out worriedly.

"I am alright, he bust the door in and knocked me down onto the floor." I replied.

Kade walked closer to the loveseat setting me down gently as he shifted once I was situated. I grinned never getting old of seeing my mate naked but did not like that Drake's mother was. A low growl emerged from me in disapproval as he walked out of the room. 

Within moments he returned with a pair of jeans on as he sat down next to me pulling me close to him. Drake took a seat next to his mother which I understood why. His protectiveness was overflowing not knowing this Alpha.

"What is the state of your pack?" Drake questioned.

"Thriving, but we have been awaiting our Luna all of these years." He replied honestly.

"You're trying to tell me you never took a mate to fill the position of Luna after all of these years?" Drake spat.

"I couldn't, I know who my mate is, and I rather die than take another!" He growled low.

I looked and noticed the expression on Drake's mother's face. The pure longing to be in his arms was quite evident to anyone with eyes. Drake glowered at him as if he wasn't trusting what the Alpha was saying, where I could see the pure desire coming from both his mother and the Alpha.

"Love, let your mother do what she feels is best for her. She has been tormented all these years and kept from her mate...what if it was me who had been kept from you?" I spoke softly.

"Wouldn't happen, everyone would be dead!" He growled ominously.

"That's my point love, let them be them and you come here to me please." I requested.

He growled and stood up walking towards me as he sat down and inched closer until I was pressed up against both. They heat soothing and exceptionally calming as their scents wash over me cocooning me from all other scents. 

We watched Cassidy and Farris as they both still seemed to be in shock seeing one another after all these years. I had a feeling she was about to launch herself at him but don't want to be presumptuous and just say 'do it already'. Farris stood up slowly as his gaze went to us. I nodded to him as I had my mates settled for the moment. He began approaching Cassidy.

"Mate, I am so sorry I didn't come for you, but I worried he would follow through with his threat." He all but whispered.

She nodded at him as tears filled her eyes crumpling forward folding over on herself. Worry struck me knowing she had to have gone through true horrors in her time being mated with Drake's father. Farris rushed to her side encasing her within his arms. She lifted and buried her face against his chest as he wrapped her tighter to himself as tears built within his eyes as well.

"Mine!" He growled low seizing her closer.
