Rem's family accepting me was definitely a shock, more of a shock than me realizing I was in love with him just after figuring out he was my mate without knowing him very well. All the feelings of love and acceptance I could pick up made my heart beat faster and my head spin. "Is this real? Is it really happening Luci?" I asked wanting to be sure that I wasn't dreaming.

"It's one hundred percent real, King. They all really love us for us" he said and I could tell how happy he is as I could feel his smile and hear it in his voice.

"He's right bunny, this is real it's not a dream" Rem said into our link as more tears fell from my eyes. During our hug, Rem's uncles' phone began to ring so he kissed the side of my head and stepped away to answer. Judging by the sudden shift in his aunts mood, it wasn't a pleasant call and Rem could feel it too. Gradually they all let go except Rem, who only loosened his hold on me pulling me with him as he returned to the bar stool then pulling me to lean against him between his legs as he sat there burying his head in my chest. While we stood there waiting, I wiped my tears on his shirt and ran my fingers through his long hair admiring the way it revealed the two toned coloring as I did. Snuggling deeper against my stomach, he opened our link again and said "you really like my hair don't you?"

"Yes love, I do. It's beautiful just like you" I smiled as I sent a picture of his gorgeous body through our link. Laughter erupted from his gorgeous mouth as I reveled in the happy sound of his voice.

"Oh, two can play that game bunny" he teased mentally as he sent me an image of us in the shower where my tattoo was visible then added "I like the tattoo. It suites you."

"Thank you. It's actually a memorial to my parents" I thought as I felt him smile against my stomach before he said "I'm glad that you have a way to remember them even if you don't actually remember them."

"I kind of remember them. It's not actual memories like yours. It's more of just feelings. I know they loved me and I know I miss them" I shrugged and Seri gave me an odd look before realizing we must be talking telepathically. Chuckling, I said aloud "don't worry Seri we're just talking about a tattoo I have."

"Really? You have a tattoo?" she asked looking surprised.

"Yeah, it's a crescent moon with wings at the base of my neck" I explained as Rem reached up to pull down the back of my t-shirt to show her sliding my shoulder length hair over my right shoulder in the process.

"Wow, that's really pretty. I know I'm supposed to say it's cool but that doesn't do it justice. Actually, it's gorgeous. Does it have a particular meaning or did you just get it just because?" she asked with a look of aww and amazement in her eyes.

"It's actually a memorial to my parents" I said as Rem released my t-shirt laying it back where it had been.

"Wow, that's a sweet thing to do for them" his aunt said as I realized they don't know what happened to my parents or why I was adopted just that I was. Trying to decide whether or not to tell them, I looked down at Rem to see him staring back at me. Nodding, he opened our link and said "it's up to you if you tell them. Though you may wanna before they start asking why you were adopted." Nodding and taking a deep breath, I said "my parents dies when I was five in a rogue attack. They died defending Alpha Carter, Luna Peyton, Aaron, and me since my dad was Carters' Beta and my mom was Peytons' bodyguard. That's why they adopted me and raised me as their own. Mostly, I think they felt guilty and responsible but at least they gave me a good life that led me here."

"And we're very thankful to have you here with us baby" auntie said with a smile. Eventually, Rem let me sit down so we could finally eat while we waited to find out what his uncles' call was about.
