Chapter 17: Kingstons' POV

As we headed towards the diner, I mind linked Noah and told him where to meet us.

"Alright man. Also, Luna Peyton said she was packing some of your stuff. Wanna fill me in?" he asked confused.

"Apparently, uncle is on a war path and has included Aaron. They've been asking around about Rem and we're trying to figure out if I'd found my mate yet. Aaron even went so far as to threaten me" I told him then added "and not I'm worried they're going to try something."

"Crap, you might be right. I'll drive in circles a few times to be sure we aren't followed" Noah said.

"Thanks man. Also, for you alls safety, if you get cornered please I'm begging you. Have Milo block the memory of two my mate is" I told him.

"I really hope it doesn't come to that" Noah said.

"I hope not either but I don't want them to try and force anything out of you either" I told him.

"Alright, I promise. I'll even have Genie do the same" Noah promised.

"I'm glad they can't force anything out of Carly since she's a fae witch" I told him laughing.

"Yeah, my girl is a badass like that" he said laughing too now.

"That she is. Well, see you guys in a few minutes" I said with a smile.

"Yeah, see you soon" he chuckled as the link disconnected. Still smiling, I laughed as Rem gave me a sideways look. Intertwining my fingers with his, I said "it's nothing love, just Noah being himself."

"oh, okay" he chuckled and leaned over to kiss my head.

As we pulled into the restaurant parking lot, I could feel Aaron trying to get through again and again I blocked him since I'm actually stronger than he is despite his Alpha rank.

"God, that's annoying" I said under my breath.

"Someone trying to get in again?" Rem asked pulling me closer.

"Yeah, two guesses who but you'll only need one" I said rolling my eyes.

"That asshole never gives up does he?" he asked.

"Nope and since he's the soon to be Alpha, he thinks he's the strongest member of the pack aside from Alpha Carter. Little does he know there's one person stronger than even Alpha Carter and only two people are aware of that little fact seeing as I only told two other people, Peyton and Noah" I laughed.

"Oh baby, my bunny is a badass" Rem laughed drawing Seris' attention as we entered the restaurant.

"Can I know what's so funny?" she asked.

"It's nothing special. Just that a member of my old pack is trying to contact me and is giving me a headache. He thinks he's the second strongest member of the pack when in reality he's more like the third or fourth. Hell, even Alpha Carter is weaker than the strongest member not that he's aware of that fact" I explained to her, auntie, and uncle.

"I can guess whose the strongest" uncle said and then from behind us we heard "and you'd be right, Mr. Leonard." Laughing, I said Noah, your timing is perfect as always."

"I know right" he laughed back as he pulled out a chair first for genie and then for Carly before taking a seat next to me.

"And such a gentleman" Rem teased him.

"Yes well, I'm probably one of the only males in the pack with proper manners" Noah laughed as I rolled my eyes.

"Speaking of, there's something you should know. While I have not technically been kicked out of the pack, auntie asked me not to come back for my safety which is why she's giving you some of my stuff to get to me. I also won't be attending school for the time being since it won't be safe" I explained namely to Noah but I figured I'd fill in the family as well. Glancing around the table, auntie and uncle nodded along with Carly, Genie, and Seri said nothing, and Noah was silent for a moment. Rem never let go of my hand and I could feel his love and support pouring through our bond as we waited for Noah to speak.
