Chapter 22: Remingtons' POV

After King and I split up, I headed towards the castle side entrance closest to the tower he thought our family would be held in. Quietly waiting until the sentries were distracted by King, I quietly opened the door and slipped inside shutting it just as quietly before sneaking down the hall as I masked my scent as well. As I rounded the corner before the tower door, I spotted two sentries guarding the door and frowned trying to figure out how to get them out of the way without killing them. Suddenly, they moved off on their own confusing me as King thought "this must be Rems' uncle" causing me to stiffen before he added "sorry love, I didn't mean to scare you. I was just guessing who the guy in front of me seated on a throne that is rightfully yours is."

"I don't care about that bunny, I just want to get this over with and get out of here" I thought back as we heard Noah snicker before King thought "oh shut up Noah" which made us both laugh. Taking a deep breath to steady myself, I slowly creep forward hoping those guards don't return while I make my way towards the door. Pausing outside the door, I glance around to make sure no one is coming and take another deep breath to prepare myself for what I might find behind that door. King must've felt my hesitation because he said "don't worry love, I'm sure they're there and everything will be fine. As soon as you get to them, teleport them into the woods and then come back for me."

"Okay bunny" I thought back as I placed my hand on the door knob. Opening the door slowly, I found my aunt and uncle chained to the wall unconscious. Quietly going inside, I checked the hallway one more time and closed the door before slowly approaching them.

"Auntie, uncle are you okay?" I whispered causing them to stir and open their eyes. As they looked at me, their eyes slowly bled to red and their fangs protruded from their upper jaws before they realized who I was. "Rem is that you baby?" auntie asked as uncle grunted from the pain of forcing his fangs back in.

"Yeah auntie, it's me and King is here too. He's distracting the castle while I rescue you" I said as I check the chains holding auntie to the wall.

"I hope he's okay" uncle said sounding worried as King piped into my head making me smile "tell them I'm fine and I love them both."

"King says to tell you he's fine and he loves you both" I chuckled as I dug in my bag for my lock picks. Finding what I was looking for, I checked the chains for magic before picking the lock. As aunties arms fell to her sides, I handed her a few blood bags before turning to work on uncles cuffs. Handing him a few blood bags as well, I waited for them to finish before gathering up the empty bags and using my magic to check our surroundings.

"Okay, we're clear for right now. Can you both stand?" I whispered as they nodded before adding "okay then, I'm going to teleport you both out of here to someplace safe then come back for King."

"okay baby" auntie said as they both stood up and came to stand with me.

"Bunny, I'll be right back. Don't do anything stupid" I thought making Noah snicker again before King said "baby, you should know me better than that. Now get them out of here and get your cute ass back here." Laughing, I teleported auntie and uncle to the woods. As we reintegrated, I felt a sharp pain in my side and was grateful to be leaning against uncle. Grunting at the sudden impact, uncle asked "what's wrong kiddo?"

"I think King is in trouble" I grunted before asking Luci "Luci, what's going on? What just happened?"

"It's nothing love. I can handle it, just hurry back, okay?" King thought back as Luci said "it's not nothing Rem but King is right, we can handle it just hurry back."

"I don't like this guys" Noah said sounding worried.

"I don't like it either" I thought as I stood up and backed away from auntie and uncle with a sad smile.
