"Am I getting too close? I'm getting way too close, aren't I?" Allison asked the two girls that were seated in the car with her as she closely followed the school bus that was only a couple of cars in front of them.

"Yes—"

"That depends." Lydia cut off the blonde that was constantly looking at her phone like she was waiting for someone. "Are you just following the bus, or are you planning on mounting it at some point?"

"Yeah, I should back off." She murmured quietly as she grimaced.

"Well, that also depends." The strawberry blonde continued, quickly glancing at her guardian who so far only said one word since being locked in the car with the two girls for the past hour, "Do you mean the bus or the ex-boyfriend you're currently stalking?"

"Well, after what happened, I'm not letting him out of my sight," Allison said, causing the b blonde vampire to take a sharp breath of air. She was there last night, but she had gotten there too late. Maybe she could have stopped it, maybe she could have saved him—

She scoffed at how pathetic she sounded, he was fine. It was Derek Hale, there was no way he was dead.

"And by the way, this all started when he came knocking at my door." Sage looked back to the brunette for a second, she noticed how the car reeked of anxiety and worry, of course the hunter was still worried about her ex-boyfriend. The werewolf was pretty hurt after last night and it didn't matter if she didn't say it out loud, the young huntress still loved the young werewolf.

"For what?"

Allison glanced in the rear-view mirror at the blonde vampire, waiting to see if she would say anything about what happened last night. Letting out a soft sigh, the Argent girl quickly told Lydia what had happened from when Scott showed up at her apartment last night.

Of course Sage already knew the plan, her anxiety-riddled-filled boyfriend came up with the plan but she didn't hear it from him. Maybe because she had successfully avoided him all day, she felt guilty for ignoring his text and calls but she felt even more guilty for replying back to Derek's message, the message that asked her to help kill the alpha's, the message that she read a little late because she was trying to track down her sister.

Sage peered at the dashboard, her gaze noticing the fuel gauge, "That thing about not letting them out of your sight—

"She speaks!" Lydia sarcastically exclaimed causing the blonde to roll her eyes and continue, "Is it literal or borderline a general rule?"

Allison blinked, turning to the girl. "Why?"

"Cause you're running out of gas." The blonde stated bored, looking back down at her phone.

"Ugh." The huntress groaned.

"Yeah," Lydia muttered. "And I'm pretty sure that bus holds a lot more gas than this Toyota."

"What if we stop? Is it really that big of a deal? I mean, so what if we lose them. We already know where they're headed." Lydia reminded the girl.

"You didn't see what happened." The huntress whispered, looking back at her friend.

Lydia sighed. "I know who started it."

"Is that what Aiden told you?" The huntress retorted and Sage raised her brows at her best friend in amusement.

"Aiden?" Lydia repeated, she saw the look in both her best friend's eyes and scoffed. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on a second. Is that why you invited me on this whole little road trip thing? Oh, my gosh. You're keeping an eye on them and me." Allison kept quiet but the blonde let out a snort from the back.
