"Again with the fucking hiking, I need to stop wearing hundred-dollar boots." The vampire grumbled as she trailed behind her boyfriend and the werewolf, Scott McCall had shown up at the vampire's house after tracking the two down. Ever since the fight with his dad he knew he needed to help Stiles and the sheriff any way he could, and solving the Tate murder was where to start.

So he sought the couple out so that they could find a dead body. Deja vu much?

"You know, if my dad's right, that means there's another werewolf in town that we haven't met yet," Stiles said, doing his best not to even think about that possibility, he doesn't think his brain can even handle any more supernatural creatures.

"I know." Scott sighed.

Stiles's brows furrowed. "If it turns out to be something like triplets that form into, like, a three-headed hound of hell, I'm seriously not up for that."

"Yeah, me either." Scott muttered. "Especially if I can't even control my own transformation anymore."

"I doubt there's gonna be triplets," Sage said while eyeing her boyfriend who was more trying to concentrate on where he was going.

Not a moment later the sound of a coyote howling caused the human to jump forward, pushing Scott causing the young alpha to drop his phone in a muddy puddle. Stiles frowned giving his best friend an apologetic look, "Sorry, buddy. I hate coyotes so much. They always sound like they're mauling some tiny, helpless little animal."

"They probably are." Sage retorted.

Stiles' eyes widened at his girlfriend's bluntness, "Hey, human teen freaking the fuck out over here." He whispered causing the blonde to chuckle.

"Don't worry, I'll protect you from the big bad coyote." She mused causing the boy's ears to burn. Scott went down the slope to grab his phone and the couple followed behind him.

"It still works," Scott said, relieved that he wouldn't have to spend money to buy another one. Sage's eyes gazed out into the night until they fell upon what appeared to be a car wreck.

"Think we found it." She nudged her boyfriend who took Scott's flashlight and shined it on the upside-down car.

"Uh Why wouldn't they move it, isn't it evidence?" Scott asked as they stood in front of the car.

"Probably too much of a pain in the ass to tow it out."

"Or they're just weak." Sage scoffed out.

"Baby, not everyone has super strength like you-- hey look at this." The hyperactive teen pointed to the claw marks that were embedded into the body of the car.

"See those? Animal claws would be closer together, right? A lot closer."

"Then it was a werewolf." The alpha concluded.
