Chapter 18

(Yuki p.o.v) -A few hours later-

-The trip was filled with relative silence, the occasional chatting being heard from Adder and Ashley-

-As for the rest they were silent...-

-Lupa was looking out the window occasionally glancing at the human-

-As for Mika she couldn't get her eyes off the unconscious human, her hands wrapped tightly around the barrel of her gun-

-Another Anthro had her eyes locked on the human too..., yet her eyes didn't hold resentment or hate-

Yuki:"Lara?..." -I ask outloud-

-She snaps out of deep thought turning to look at me-

-A blanket was surprisingly draped over the human by Lara due to him shivering-

-Chris wasn't looking too great, he was covered in dirt grime, bruises, cuts on top of that he was sweating a lot on top of that his normally pale complexion was now flushed and red-

Yuki:"He doesn't look so great" -I said sitting forward a bit getting a better look-

-Lara leans over him reaching out with her hand-

Lupa:"Hold on..." -Lupa chimes in-

-She stands up crouching beside Chris, extending her hand out she places it on his forehead-

Lupa:"He's burning up...., fever...." -She turns back to us-

Lupa:"How much longer pilot!?" -She calls out-

Pilot:"ETA two minutes..." -He responds-

"Thank god..." -I think looking out the window-

-The entire area was beautiful, rocky mountains and woodland stretching for miles-

-The helicopter begins to turn revealing the compound below-

-Massive concrete walls with guard towers on each side, on top of that huge concrete and steel buildings housing possibly thousands of soldiers and vehicles-

General Chloe(R):"Welcome back home Alpha Team...." -The General suddenly announces over the radio-

-The helicopter begins descending towards the concrete giant-

-After a few moments the helicopter jolts slightly as it hits the landing pad-

-Amber slides the door open stepping out followed by an eager Ashley and Adder-

-Mika steps out rushing towards a waiting General Chloe-

-Me, Lara and Lupa follow Mika out, the blades begin to slow allowing us to hear better-

-Keeping the human in the helicopter we walk towards the General-

General Chloe:"Glad to see you've all made it home safe..." -She stands tall hands behind her back-

-As for us we quickly salute before she nods her head-

General Chloe:"At ease..." -She then looks to Mika-

-We lower our hands waiting for the General to speak-

General Chloe:"The mission was successful?" -She tilts her head-

-Mika produces the hard drive to which General Chloe gently takes-

General Chloe:"You never cease to amaze me Alpha Team..." -She glances at the rest of the team-
