-y/n POV-
We warped back to the beach house.
Connie was on the floor reading a magazine.
"Steven! Y/n! What took so long?" She asked getting up.
She came up and hugged us both. Steven sighed. "The diamonds..they really want me to move in.." he said. "Why?"
"Because they want to smother me with attention 24/7" Steven added.
"Sounds fun"
"Not really" I said. "Well, I'm glad I got to see you both before heading out." She said picking up her stuff.
"You're really going through with it?" Steven asked. As we headed down to his room.
"Of course. I've always wanted to go to space camp." She added.
"But we've been to space multiple times." I said
"And you've done way cooler stuff than just camp there." Steven added.
"My parents are doing what they can to support my interests. It's sweet. Plus, I get all the freeze-dried ice cream I can eat." Connie said happily.
Connie and Steven continued talking as I went to get my sweater from Steven's closet.
"Well that's my mom. I should get going" Connie went to hug me then Steven. But she quickly gave a peck on Steven's cheek.
"Okay! Bye!" She said and left.
Steven went to the balcony to tell Connie something else. As I came out I saw he was still blushing. I smirked "don't look at me with that face!" He said hiding his face.
"Why haven't you asked her the big question!? She is obviously into you" I said with a smile.
He sighed. "♫ Here we are in the future,
Here we are in the future and it's bright!" He sang. I chuckled "Nothing to fear
No one to fight~" I added with a smile leaning on the balcony. Steven pulled me inside and we both fell on the bed with laughs.
"I can't believe we've come so far
Happily ever after, here we are! ♫" he added.
He sat up. "♫ Once upon a time, I thought I'd always be in my mother's shadow. Answering for her crimes, I thought I'd always be in an endless battle. Till I began to grow..
The power on my own!♫"
"♫ That I could feel growing stronger every day!And now I saved the world, Not just that- the whole galaxy's saved, We did it!
Here we are in the future! ♫" he added smiling looking at me.
I sighed and sat up. "♫Once upon a time, I thought I'd always be controlled by someone , and ever since I gain this gem I always thought I'd never understand ..Till I met a boy. who made me realize who I was truly meant to be♫." I sang looking at Steven.
"♫And I could feel myself growing stronger everyday. And now We saved the world, Not just that- the whole galaxy's saved, We did it!
Here we are in the future!♫" i smiled putting a bubble around me and going down the stairs laughing as Steven was behind me.
I bursted out the door and went to pet cat Steven. We both ran down the stairs and walked up to Greg—Dad and Pearl.
"Hey Dad!"
"Hey kiddos!" Greg responded. "Y/n! Steven! I'm learning to play the bass!" Pearl exclaimed.
"I keep telling her it's bass!" Greg said
"Excuse me. B-A-S-S. Spells bass" she corrected. "You're the boss"
"Heck yes I am" Pearl jumped on top of the van and sang.
"♫ Once upon a time, I only lived to be of Pink Diamond's service,
Till the day the two of us snuck down to be on this planet's surface
We became our fantasy,
And I was sure she set me free ♫"
"♫ But in the end, I guess I never left her side
And after love and loss and all the tears that I cried,
I find that... ♫ *jumps off the van* ♫ Here we are in the future! ♫"Pearl finished .
As she finished Steven and I headed to the big donut to meet up Garnet. But we took a shortcut through Lion's mane
We both popped out of Lion's mane and sat at the table with garnet.
"I saved you both a seat."
"Thanks garnet! Hey guy! What I miss?" Steven asked.
"You're just in time for my favorite part of the story...

Sapphire's deadly fate was set until the Ruby rushed in to hold her

"♫ Here we are in the future! ♫" Steven and Garnet finished.
Steven then bubbled a piece of ube roll. "Lemme just save this. Hey, any idea what Amethyst is up to?"
"I have every idea what everyone is up to. You'll find her if you head to Little Homeworld. Take the Warp." Steven and I got up and headed to little home-world.
-narrator's POV-
To move along. The two siblings headed to little home-world. Amethyst just stopped Steven from falling off the warp, as for Y/n she was made sure her surrounds first before walking so she won't fall off.
The siblings were greeted by the rest of the gems.
Amethyst then sang her part of the song, explaining her life in the past. Then as the warp was lowered the three of them jumped off, Pearl and Garnet warped into Little home-world. Now the 5 of them came together to take a picture on Steven's phone.
As they continued the song they were running across a field going up to the Lighthouse hill.
They all laid down on the field admiring the sky.
"I want everything to stay exactly like this and never change." Steven said gazing up at the sky.
Y/n hummed in response.
"Agreed"
"Here,Here"
"How's the future look, Garnet? Do we all stay just like this forever?" Y/n asked.
Garnet was adjusting her visors smiling while using her future vision. Her smile suddenly faded.
"No!"
Y/n sat up confused.
A strong wind blows in and an ominous shadow is cast over the hill. The Crystal Gems look up at the cloudy sky and spot a strange Injector-like ship lowering from the clouds. It looms over Beach City and points towards the hill. Just then, a silhouette is seen at the top of the ship.
"HEY! Are you Steven universe and Y/n L/n!?"
Who the hell is that? Y/n thought.
Steven responding stupidly to the question "Um..yes?"
"Perfect.."
