Ch12.

Steven, Amethyst, y/n and Spinel heads over to Greg's storage unit, where they talk to Pearl while Greg is making musical equipment onto his van.

"I'm afraid I can't help. I'm currently in the service of my Um Greg Universe preparing for tonight's concert, showcasing a promising ensemble in the "rockinroll" genre." Pearl said

Greg then came out of the storage unit talking on the phone.

"Dad!"

"Hey you found amethyst!" Greg said in glee.

"*acts like a robot* Who is Amethyst?"

"Oh no. She's even worse." Greg said worried.

Y/n playfully punched amethyst in the arm.

"Im just goofin'." Amethyst said with a laugh.

"Too soon amethyst."Greg sighed in relief.

A crashing sound is then heard in the storage unit. Everyone turn to seeing Spinel squatting beside Garnet, who had fallen and tangled into a pile of cables.

"Garnet, are you okay?" Greg asked.

"Did you want the red cable? Or the blue cable?" Garnet questioned.

"It doesn't matter! They're the same! *sees Pearl storing a guitar into her gem* Pearl, what are you doing?! We need those for the show!"

As they are discussing what to do, y/n walked over to garnet and helped her out with the cables and the equipment.

"They both are for the show. And those too I believe. Just place them in the box" y/n suggested.

Garnet nodded.

"How you holding up, toots?" Spinel asked handing me a box.

Toots?! The heck? Y/n thought a bit flustered.

"I-I'm alright. My side doesn't hurt as much. Hey hand me that." Y/n gestured to the extension cord.

"This?"

Y/n nodded and placed it in the box and into the van.

"What do i need to remember?" Spinel asked curious.

Y/n tilted her head in confusion. But realized what she meant.

"Oh. Well there is some pieces that you are missing in your memories. You don't remember the injector or anything else that happened before that, meaning you forgot and we need to help you remember. If not the whole world is going to die.." y/n explained muttering the last part.

"Well why don't you tell me? You know me right? You know what happened" spinel said scooting closer to me.

"Yeah..but we still need the memories you had from before you came with the injector. We just met this morning. We are starting to know each other but I don't know your past." Y/n added.

Spinel frowned. "I wished we met in the past. You are so much fun to have around! I'm so glad you're my best friend! Hopefully we can get my memories back! So I can tell you about my past! Wait— what's your past?" Spinel said and popped a question.

Y/n paused.

"Um. How 'bout I tell you when you get your memories? I'm not really to talk about my past yet. Sorry" y/n said standing up and helping out spinel.

"Okay!" Spinel took y/n's hand in hers and squeezed it.

"Just remember! I'll always be by your side to cheer you up! Or anything!" Y/n smiled at spinel's comment.

"Am I allow to come out?" Said Nel already out.

"Well you're already are" y/n said.

"Woah! You're a fusion?" Spinel asked.

"Erm. Not really.  It's complicated. I'll explain later. How you holding up Nel? Your powers?" Y/n asked.

"They're alright. I don't know why you took the hit. You're human" Nel complained.

"I'm human. You're a gem. Well a different gem. It might not affect me as much. Anyways come on. We have a show to get to" y/n said helping spinel up.
It is night-time. It's time for Sadie Killer and the Suspects show.

Sadie began starting the show. "This first song's a special request from Steven Universe!"

Out of the corner of Y/n's eye she saw Garnet and Spinel begin dancing gleefully. Y/n smiled at the sight.

How can someone who tried to kill us have a past self so happy, cute, and harmless. Did she do something wrong? She seems so happy.
Y/n thought

In mid song, Steven danced over to amethyst.

"It's not enough!" Steven said over the loud music.

"Maybe we need to hit her where it hurts." Amethyst suggested.

"What?" Y/n asked walking up to them.

"You know, her original boss? The love of her life? The reason she rebelled in the first place!"

"Mom. She's gotta remember Mom. But-" Steven looked over to Greg.

" If that's what it takes..." Greg said shrugging.

Steven gives Amethyst the nod and she takes the microphone. Everyone watches in surprise as Amethyst shapeshifts into Rose Quartz.

Amethyst finished up the song while focusing on Pearl having hope it will get her memories back.

But It did work.

"How could that not work? What are we missing?" Steven complained.

Greg begins to clap for the band, but stops in discomfort.

"Don't worry! I can clap for you!" Pearl began to clap rapidly.

"AH! What will make you stop serving me!?"Greg said annoyed.

"As long as you exist, I will serve you!"

Amethyst shapeshifts back to normal, and she and Steven turn to look at each other.

"As long as you exist." Steven and Amethyst said and finally realized what they had to do.
