Ch19. Training

-Narrator's POV-

Weeks have past the beach city has recovered from the hit of the injector.

"Hey Steven?" Spinel said walking up the stairs to Steven's room.

"Yeah?"

"Have you seen Y/n? I haven't seen her since this morning." Spinel asked sitting on his bed.

Steven sat up.

"Didn't she say she was going to practice something with Pearl and Garnet ?" Steven said.

"She did? Huh. Okay. Well thanks!" Spinel then quickly went to the warp pad but was stopped by Steven.

"Wait! Do you know where you're going?"

"Well!— oh. No haha. Do you know where she might be?" Spinel asked.

Steven chuckled and walked up beside her.

"Y/n keep your distance!" Pearl shouted.

"Use your wings and protection!" Nel added.

"Go Y/n!" Garnet cheered.

Y/n was facing off a hologram of Pearl.

"I thought this was easy!" Y/n exclaimed blocking the sword coming towards her.

"It's medium actually" Pearl said.

"I didn't know fighting Pearl was hard!" Y/n shouted flying into the air.

"Well you are just starting to practicing your fighting skills! I used to train Connie and Steven as you know. So it's your turn! Focus Y/n!"

"What? Crap!" The hologram Pearl strikes Y/n.

"Why am I doing this again?" Y/n asked defeating the hologram Pearl.

Nel stood up and walked over to Y/n.

"I used to protect you remember? Most of the time—"

"Sometimes"

"Sometimes. But you are still developing your powers you know."

Y/n got confused. "I know how to use my powers."

"Yeah I know, Hon. But after you took the hit of the rejuvenator..they seemed kinda messed up. But don't worry! They'll come back. Anyways continue!" Nel said walking back.

"Yeah okay."

"You got this Y/n!" Spinel shouted.

Steven and spinel arrived a while ago and Steven decided to join in on the training.

"Just one more round Y/n. We got this" Steven encouraged.

"Yeah. Steven look out!" Y/n quickly summoned her wings and flew over Steven and defeated one of many hologram pearls.

Time went on and most of the Hologram pearls got defeated.
