Ch21. Understanding

Recently that y/n has gotten better from her flashbacks, Steven was then starting to feel..out of place we can say.

He just blocked out everyone who worried for him. His diamond powers seem to have been getting to his head.

"She said no?" Y/n asked Steven who was laying on the sand.

He hummed in response.

"I'm sure she didn't mean it. You two are still young to get married. She loves you Steven. Maybe you two will be in a great relationship, and hopefully it'll last long and when you're grown up. Pop the question. But now she probably wants to focus on her studies" y/n said laying next to him.

"Come here" y/n side hugged Steven as comfort.

"Let's go inside and cheer you up big guy."

Things weren't so great with Steven.

Unlike for Y/n. Her friendship with Spinel has gotten better.

Her aunt still wasn't trusting Spinel as much, but she saw how much Spinel loved and cared for.

"Spinel Can you pass the milk? No that's orange juice."

"Oh! they look Identical!" Spinel said sitting at the table.

"Well the orange juice as an orange on the front of it." Y/n said pointing to the carton.

"Oh. Ok!"

"You sure you gonna be alright without me?" Y/n asked spinel on the warp pad.

"I think so...Yes! Yes I will. Don't worry about me. I'll be with the Diamonds. I'm sure I'll be alright. I'm going to miss you." Spinel said looking down.

Y/n placed her finger under spinel's chin making her look at her.

"I'm going to miss you too, spinel. But I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun! I have to hang out with Steven actually. He hasn't been at his best recently.." Y/n said.

"Alright go then. I don't want to keep the diamonds waiting to long. I'll see you soon." Y/n said stepping off the warp pad.

Y/n then headed to the door but Spinel stopped her and quickly pecked a kiss on her cheek and warped away.

"Spinel!" Said the Diamonds as they greeted her.

"We were so thrilled that we heard you were gonna spend time with us!" White said kneeling down to spinel.

"Did Steven or Y/n come along with you?" Blue asked.

"Sadly no. Y/n had to stay for something with Steven. I don't remember." Spinel said hopping onto White's hand.

"How is life on earth?" Yellow asked.

"It's great actually! I get to spend a lot of time with Y/n! She has helped me a lot. Steven and I are good friends! I'm still getting to understand y/n actually" spinel said jumping to Blue's finger.
