Zanders POV

I walked around my house. Making a list of things I wanted to keep before I had to move. My parents were making me move out of my condo.  As it wasn't convenient for Kai to commute to, and from school.

Kai had managed to uproot everything in my life. I mean why couldn't he just move here? Why should I move across the city to benefit him?

My address, unfortunately, got leaked, giving my parents an even better reason to relocate me.

Looking for something to eat, I opened the fridge but it was empty. My dad wanted me to hire a cook but I was against it. I liked my privacy. It didn't make sense for me to have one anyway since I hardly ate at home.

I closed the fridge door in disappointment. I was going to be living with Kai soon whether I like it or not so I guess I could get him to buy groceries for me. I wasn't just going let him to live off me without doing anything.

I was only going to work for half a day today since my parents wanted me to go apartment shopping. After the article I was happy I didn't have to be in the office long. Everyone in the office read the damn thing and we were trying to figure out who my mystery lover was, not to mention the crowd of reporters outside waiting to catch Kai leaving with me like that would happen.

Looking for the keys to my car. I put on casual clothes and head out of the house. I get a text message from my mother, instructing me to pick Kai up at his university so we can meet the real estate agent at the first apartment, together at the same time.

The drive through New York was pleasant, the city was still recovering from the heavy rains from the week before.

I looked at my phone for my text messages from my Mom. She recommends that I take Kai to lunch. Yeah, like the last time I tried to ask him to dinner, I ended up insulting him

I wasn't thrilled about becoming Kai's personal chauffeur, but there wasn't anything I could do about it

I wasn't thrilled about becoming Kai's personal chauffeur, but there wasn't anything I could do about it. I pull up on his college campus and send a text for him to come down to the parking lot.

I save his number in my phone and send a quick message to him. Minutes later, I see him through my rearview mirror looking around.

He looked different than he usually dressed. I had a feeling my mother had something to do with it. I had only seen a waiter's outfit, and a large sweater and jeans. If I had to guess, I would say my mother was the one for his more polished attire.

"Kai! " I call out to him, I get out of the car to show him where I was.

He looks around to pinpoint where the voice was coming from, before seeing me and walking up to me with his usual unassuming smile.

"Good morning." He greets me, not making eye contact.

"Get in !"  I tell him in as nice a tone as I could. Being nice to him was very hard.
