"Zander," I shout at the anxious man pacing around the room."Let's just take a moment to breathe, and think clearly before we do anything."

"Someone is threatening us," Zander yells at me. "And, you want me do fucking breathing exercises? Do you hear yourself?"

I make a space between us. "You're clearly not in your mind," I sigh. "And, I am not going to let you curse at me."

I fall to the back into bed, deciding not to pay mind to Zander. The threatening text he got, must have came from one of his maniac exes. It's like the man was out dating people he found in straight jacket.

"I am sorry, Kai." Zander sits beside me. "I shouldn't have spoken to you like that, but I am worried and you're not taking this seriously." His hands goes to the
back of mine, curling his fingers round mine, he kisses
my hand.

"I'm not taking it seriously, because it's so clear that Finn is still trying to mess with you." I wince just by mentioning the name.

"I don't think it's Finn," Zander whispers."He is a liar, but he's also too much of a coward to go this far."

"Yeah, he sounds like a saint." I scoff, removing myself from the bed.

"Kai," Zander's tone changes. "I need the sarcasm to end."

I look over at him, surprised. Zander has never taken such a tone like that with me, before. I mean, the man was just sobbing like a child because I was leaving him to go the bathroom, and I wasn't letting him inside.

A blush warms my face — something about him raising his voice at me, rewired the makeup of my brain. I had made it a rule for myself, never to let Zander have any sort of control over me.

But now, my rule isn't holding up. And, it feels like my loins are kicking me in the head, because knew that I could find Zander attractive like he's now.

I turn around to him, to find him locking eyes on me.
"You shouldn't talk to me like that," I tell him in a soft voice. I put my hands around his tense shoulders, as I lower myself onto his manspread. I kiss his neck, and quickly feel as he stands at attention.

"Kai," he growls at me. "You're trying to distract me from worrying."

"Is it working?" I ask him.
"You know, it's working," he groans.

I pull the band of his underpants, snapping it against his skin. "You missed me, didn't you?" I run my free hand under his shirt.

"Desperately," he whispers in a kiss to my collar.

I lift up his shirt from his chest, over his arms and toss it to the corner of the room. "We should make up for time loss."

He catches my lips in a kiss, hungrily. "Kai, you know that I can't resist you," Zander flips me over onto my back. There's a hungry look in his eyes, but he glances away — something that wouldn't have expected from him. "But just this once, I am going to do everything in my power to resist you." He lifts himself off me, though I could see his obviously erect member.

"Why?" I ask him in a loud voice. "Tell me, why you're suddenly Mr. No Sex ?"

"Because," Zander gripes, "someone is threatening to take you away from me. And, I don't know who it is.
I don't how to protect you. What right do I have as a of a husband . . . a lover, if I can't protect you?"
