Kai's POV
My wedding was in 5 days . I was currently in the university library waiting to meet up with a group of people for a presentation in two weeks .
Obviously my economics professor didn't think my leave of absence allows me to miss out on assignments.
Most of our group had already gathered expect Tom , our self-proclaimed group leader , was late .
Tom was unfortunately the only one of us who was an actual business major , so he was only one with actual knowledge of how to conduct business presentations.
Plus , he had taken a liking to literally calling me at most inconvenient of times . Literally 2 days , he interrupted Zander's and I kiss .
I still touch my lips anything Zander walks in a room . I was still a little disappointed at the fact that Zander didn't try and kiss me again . Maybe he was actually telling the truth when he said " the kiss was so we could seem more natural on the wedding day ."
Sigh . I can't believe I was actually thinking about him . Why did I even agree to the stupid kiss ?
In the middle of scolding myself about my own stupid decisions , a voice interrupted me . " Kai , what you think about the company we choose to do our research on ." Paige , one of project partners, said .
Our topic was on labour protection and economics. " We are planning to interview the Head of HR at Storm Inc ." Paige said, pointing to the assignment details in her notepad.
" Sure , Storm Inc is great ." I replied .
Storm Inc. Storm Inc ? " As in Zander Storm ."
" Yes as in Zander Storm." Another of my project partners said .
I guess I said that out loud . It wasn't like we going to interview the CEO , just the HR manager.
I nod in agreement , soothing my own embarrassment.
The group was finally done preparing the various aspects of our presentation. So , we were finally leaving the library.
" Look it's Zander Storm ." Paige squealed with delight , running towards Zander .
Unfortunately, it's wasn't a figment of Paige's imagination . Zander was actually there in full glory, shaking hands with the president .
Finally he and the president stopped talking . My feet was firmly planted to ground, as I tried to figure out why he was here.
Zander started walking towards us . Paige was still squealing, I thought they were gone .
Even Tom was shaking in his boots . It made sense, since the whole time we were going over project details he was talking about he how got shortlisted for the Storm Inc summer internship . Sure , it had nothing to do with his father being on the board of directors.
Most of the group quickly advance from their frozen positions to meet Zander halfway or just stare at him .
What was he doing here ?
" Mr. Storm , it's so great to meet you ." Tom said , ensuring that he was the first of the group to reach Zander.
After charming the group with his wonderful personality. Eventually he got tired of them constantly signing his praises.
