Kai's POV
I spent the most of my morning at the Storm's Bel Air mansion plagiarizing wedding vows from the internet. These would be excellent choices if they weren't so corny. I mean Zander and I were eons from the traditional "
couple. After making appropriate changes to a vows I found on luxwedding.com, I text my parents to ask if they had landed as yet .
My dad replies telling me that they were already in the car. I would've gotten faster responses if I had texted Sam, but I didn't since she has been trying to convince me to persuade
Zander to buy a home in the Hamptons . So she could vacation with me and possibly yet a yacht. She had a very active imagination .I mentally chuckled at the sad emoji face she sends when I don't respond to her messages.
"Kai?"
I head downstairs in the direction of the call, and find Zander's grandma waiting on me.
"Yes?" I answer.
"Come with me," she interlocks our arms, and leads me into the dining room where she and Julia were having breakfast.
I toss a few grapes in my mouth and wash down a mouthful of cucumber and tomato with orange juice. I only half listen to Victoria as she reviews the itinerary for the wedding.First I had to get dress, and not for the actual wedding ceremony but for the drive to wedding venue.
Victoria is a nice lady, but she's a nitpicker. And I didn't get to go back to sit with Julia until my outfit passed her judgement.
"Kai ! I've the a special gift for you." Julia mumbles.
I think to decline the gift, but she passes a stern look in my direction, and I accept the gift.
"Thank you ." I telling her.
I open the box .
