"Sunstreaker?!"
I ran up to him as I spotted him walking down the hallway. "Hi, I was like... hoping if I could have a look at your paintings. I have been thinking about it lately and I thought... maybe you can show me. I can show you what I made. Perhaps give me a little feedback? Are you free this afternoon we can—" he slammed the door of the hallway shut in my face. I sucked in a breath. "Good talk," I mumbled sarcastically and turned around. Sunstreaker must think I am an idiot and a fool. After I fell down the stairs and walked into the glass door, he ignored me. No one is good enough for him, certainly not me. I had hoped to show my good side but I am so clumsy.
"Paige?" I turned. "There you are. What took you so long?" Lennox asked strictly. "L-long?" I asked. He shook his head. "Did you forget what I told you?" He asked. "Told me? I— no... no. I was just having a good chat with—" I sucked in a breath. "Yeah, I forgot," I muttered. "You're so chaotic. We can't have that on the battlefield," he stated. "I know, I am sorry. Uhm, I was wondering, when can I start the actual training?" I asked.
"I wanna be a front liner, like Sunstreaker." I said as I followed him. "Sunstreaker is one of the best front liners Optimus has ever had and you think you can beat him?" He asked. "No— I just want to be like him. Not better, I know how good Sunstreaker is. I have seen him fight and he amazed me." Lennox halted and I bumped straight into him. "I was just wondering if I can start my training soon. I mean... I am working here for some time, I know everyone and––" he raised his hand. "I will think about it, okay? But you need to focus on your job right now. I will talk to Ironhide," he said. I smiled and nodded, "thank you, sir. I won't disappoint you..." Lennox already walked off.
I sucked in a breath and turned back to my cleaning job. When I reached the training room, I saw Sunstreaker. I instantly ducked away under some cargo and crawled closer so I was able to see him. He was bare chested and doing some sword practicing. I grabbed my phone and filmed him. My eyes lit up in excitement. I want to be like him. Sunstreaker decapitated a dummy and stared at it for a moment, resting his sword on his shoulder. I bit my lip as I watched the sweat drip down his chest and face. He looked so damn hot.
The permanent scowl on Sunny's face only confirmed that he doesn't smile. He's always trying to improve himself, to be better than the others. Even his personal records aren't good enough for him. He's such a perfectionist, others aren't good enough for him and I got the vibe that he was disappointing himself as well. Sometimes I wondered why? Why does he always need to improve himself. Why can't he never be happy with the things he achieves?
I quietly moved away from the boxes and sneaked towards the door but my mom called. "Shit..." I scowled. I let out a scream as Sunstreaker's sword was planted beside my head against the wall. With so much force Sunstreaker created a hole. "What are you doing here!" he sneered. I blushed madly. "I was... I was... cleaning." Sunstreaker narrowed his eyes on me. "I don't see a mop," he snapped. "I was... removing the cobwebs," I said sheepishly and glanced at his sword, still next to my head. I touched his razor sharp sword. "Are you spying on me?" he asked. "N-no... why would I be spying on you?" I asked shyly. Sunstreaker gritted his teeth. I eyed him for a moment. "I wasn't... It was more... removing the cobwebs."
"You hate spiders..."
"How do you know that?" I was rather amazed than surprised. "Do I need to remember you about two months ago when you were hysterically asking Mirage to remove the spider?" he asked. I blushed again. "The entire base knew, dumpass," he snapped. "There were no spiders in these cobwebs..." I mumbled. Sunstreaker laughed at me. "Yeah right," he snapped and pulled his sword out of the wall. I sighed softly as he walked off and left me standing here in the training room. I looked at the gap in the wall.
Back home, I threw my shoes aside. "Mom, you called me at the wrong moment." My mom glanced at me from the kitchen. "Sunstreaker caught me... I was trying to watch him train and sneak away without him knowing it." I sat down. "But I didn't know that," she responded and gave me a glass of soda. "I have a video of him... here." I scrolled through my photo's and video's and showed her. "Have you seen that last move?" I asked. She hummed while I rewatched the video. "I want to be like him..."
"Have you asked him for the art gallery?" she asked. "Yeah, but he was busy and couldn't come," I said. "Isn't there someone else you can take?" she asked. "No, Sunstreaker is the only artist of the team. It's his life but... he's a busy mech.""I actually meant... aren't there 'human' guys you'd like to take?" she asked. "Are you talking about Ben?" I asked. She nodded and sat down. "No, he doesn't like art and besides, I gave Sunstreaker the ticket. If he changes his mind he can come," I said. My mom smiled and brushed some strands from my face. "Do you think he will change his mind?" I asked. "I don't know, you just told me he's a busy mech," she said. "True but... I thought... maybe he'll make some time free," I said. "Was he mad when he caught you spying on him?" she asked. "I told him I was removing cobwebs," I said. She chuckled and rested her head on her hand. "Did he buy your story?" she asked. "Of course he did... I am a good liar," I snorted. "No, you're not." I chuckled and shrugged. "Fine, no... I don't think he was buying my story but he wasn't furious or whatsoever," I mocked.
"Haven't you have enough photo's and video's of him?" she asked. "Probably, more than 500, but... you know the point is. Sunstreaker has an eye for fashion and every day he wears something really good. Often his leather jacket, his sunglasses."
My mom hummed. "Perhaps you should text Ben... Maybe he wants to have lunch someday," she said and got up. I nodded, the last thing I want is starting an argument. I have known Ben for 14 years and he's crushing on me like I am crushing on Sunny. He's a nice guy but I just prefer Sunstreaker over Ben. I haven't seen Ben for a couple of weeks, only texted a couple of times.
I rewatched the video of Sunstreaker one more time. Hopefully he shows up Saturday.
